When it came in the mail I was really excited and played it once to "make sure it worked" (but mostly I just couldn't help myself). It scared me for a second because it didn't make any sound but as I kept winding it it began playing, I think the first play just takes a second. I gave it to him and he seemed to really like it and he also noted that one of the designs on the side was a reference to Bohemian Rhapsody which I abslutely did not notice but he thought it was great, so that was a bonus. The engravings are really cool and I love that you can see it working while it plays!
