It was my first menstrual cup, and I still use it. It's in great shape. Honestly I really need to buy myself a second as a backup, but I've never needed it. It does have a learning curve, but I feel like I made the right choice with Sckoon- I wish I saw them recommended more frequently. I did a lot of research before buying, and after years of use I really feel like the Sckoon cups are the perfect shape- there's no lip or seams to rub you the wrong way, it's smooth and soft, easy to insert and with a little practice fairly easy to remove, and easy to clean. I will caution that I had some issues at first use- I did not insert far enough and it opened against my pubic bone at the vaginal entrance, which was painful and a bit scary for a first attempt. I put it away for several months before trying again, but I think it's worth it to keep trying. I eventually got the hang of it and it's completely painless now, and I've learned how to ensure proper suction so that there's no leaks. (The latter is a bit difficult to describe and will just come with practice and trial and error. It did take a while and I wasn't sure if the cup was really right for me during that time because of frequent leaks. For me the trick was to kind of twist it and press upward after insertion, and that ensures a good seal. I haven't had any issues with leaks for years now.) Removal also requires some practice, and bearing down with your abdominal muscles helps immensely, pushing it closer to the entrance so that it can be grasped more firmly to break the suction seal and remove. Be sure to pop that suction or you'll be in for a difficult time! The cup feels cleaner than any other product while wearing it, but removal is messy. I've never had a problem with my small cup needing to be emptied more than 2 or 3 times a day, so I just make sure to empty it in a private bathroom. If you're not sure if the volume will be enough for you, I recommend wearing pads to catch any leaks until you're more confident with its limits. Overall highly recommend menstrual cups. They're worth the effort, and the Sckoon cup especially is excellent. Review: My new favorite! - I bought my first menstrual cup a couple of years ago and I used it on and off. Recently, I decided to completely get rid of disposables so I figured I needed another cup so I could alternate the two more readily. My first cup from Diva is awesome. I got the size #1 because at the time, I was not 35 and had not had a child. I think it fits fine although sometimes I found myself wishing the rim was a little softer and that the cup part wasn't quite so long. That said, I never had any leaks and it would last me all day even on heavy flow days. After looking at reviews, I found the SckoonCup and it sounded like it would be softer than the Diva. I found very few pictures of the two styles compared in size but from what I could gather, the Sckoon #1 was going to be smaller than the Diva #1. Sure enough, it is. This is good and bad. First, I think it's a little more comfortable/easier to get in. But, on the bad side, it definitely doesn't hold as much so on heavy days, I either have to empty it a couple of times or use my other cup. Although I like the holes because they clean out easier, I wonder if they also allow the cup to overflow a little more easily. Comfort-wise, this cup is great. It's quite a bit "softer" than the Diva because of its shape but that also has a drawback: it is a little harder to get it to open. Not a problem for me, but it's something to be aware of and is definitely something I've noticed. I think the Sckoon would be a good starter cup and a great cup for anyone who has a low cervix (ask your doctor). It comes in a bunch of colors which is fun, too! My next purchase will be another SckoonCup but I'm going to try a size 2 even though I haven't had children because I'm 35 and I'd like to try a bigger cup for heavy flow days. It's my "go-to" cup right now although I like both cups very much. I'm going to try to attach a couple of photos so you can compare the two brands, size 1. Sorry, but the red color is hard to photograph so there might not be a lot of detail in that one.

So much better than tampons
I've used this one for a few months now and I love it. Unlike with tampons it doesn't feel dry and uncomfortable, it doesn't matter if it's been 1 min or 12 hours it's easy to take out, I haven't had any leaking issues, I don't feel any cramps with it, most of the time I don't even know it is there and I can still do everything I usually do from running around after my 2 year old, swimming, standing, mowing lawns, sit-ups to sitting in bed reading and even sleeping. I got two of them to switch between so I'm not standing there cleaning it when I need it most or trying to rinse it out over a toilet with a water bottle in a public restroom while I need it, I just rinse it before taking the other one out and replace it with the new one then I redress and rinse the other one off, wrap it in paper towels and a bag until I get home and can wash it properly. I found it is easier to put in if I get it wet first and use my index and middle finger with a punch fold instead of the c-fold which doesn't open all the way for me. The punch fold you just push one spot on the rim down into the center of the cup as far as it can go then pinch the bottom together to hold it while you in insert it into place. When I release it, it usually pops open and I twist it to set it and if it doesn't pop open just twisting it usually opens it up. It is a little more difficult to use than a tampon at first but once you get used to it (1 maybe 2 months) it is as simple and quick as a tampon. I suggest using different types of folds to see what works best for you and checking your cervix (it will feel like the end of your nose) position at different points in your cycle as it changes so you know how and where to position the cup so it works for you and is less likely to leak or push out. If you don't feel your cervix don't worry, some people never feel it throughout their whole period, others only feel it during their heaviest times and others feel it from start to end of their cycle. Usually at the beginning and end of your cycle the cervix will be higher and in the middle it will be lower. I always run my finger around the outside to make sure it is fully open if it's not I twist it and I do the same before pulling it out to make sure that 1 I can get a good grip on it 2 because sometimes the stem will catch at the back where I had stitches after having my daughter 3 just to make sure that I am putting my fingers in the right spot and not hooking my nails on anything else when I pinch it together and twist and pull.

Cup is Fantastic, the Bag Didn't Last
The strings for the little bag fell apart within the first day, but the bag is still usable. The cup though is easy to use (once you get the hang of it), easy to remove, and easy to clean. It's super comfortable to sleep in. It will be more difficult (and much messier) to remove if it gets totally full, and might cause mild cramping, so it's good to track how long it takes it to fill up for you, and empty it before then. If you struggle to use tampons comfortably, but stuffer a lot of leakage with pads, I highly recommend giving cups a try. The learning curve is STEEP though, and it took me four cycles to successfully insert it. Don't beat yourself up if you can't figure it out right away.

I love the color and that the storage bag is organic ...
This is my go-to cup. I love the color and that the storage bag is organic cotton. The more rounded bottom is far more comfortable for me than the more pointed bottom of 2 other brands I've tried. It's also a bit softer than the average cup, so that also makes it more comfortable, but it's not so soft that I couldn't get it to open. I do usually have to twist it slightly, but it's still pretty quick and easy. If you have very strong pelvic muscles like a dancer, then you may need a firmer cup. I am a little over a year postpartum and still have somewhat relaxed vaginal walls (though they seem stronger after only two cycles using cups and intermittently doing kegels and squats) and a lower cervix than prepregnancy, so I appreciate that this cup isn't super long and the wider diameter helps it stay in place better. Again, so much more comfortable! I haven't had any problems with filling the cup too much, even on my heavy days. The heaviest day was maybe 2/3 full at 8 hours or so. After that it's usually 1/4 to 1/3 full or less. I'd say I have an average period (some spotting then 1-2 heavy days then 2-3 days gradually diminishing flow and then maybe 1-2 more days spotting at most). I do wish the storage bag had the cords' ends tied because I accidentally pulled out one of the strings. I just tied the ends of the remaining string and can still use it no problem. I can see why some think it's an inferior product because the storage bag did have threads stuck to it from manufacturing, and the strings are slightly unraveling, and there was some dust from manufacturing on the cup. However, silicone can tend to attract dust, and you're going to wash and sterilize it anyway, no big deal. I used Medela Steam Sterilizer Bags at first and now have a microwave sterilizer cup from another cup company, either of which are so much nicer than boiling on the stove. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this cup. After birth, tampons were way too uncomfortable (first period was 10-1/2 months postpartum, so not related to healing at all), and I've always hated the mess and smell and fuss with pads. It wasn't until I switched to a cup that I realized that the pads and tampons had been irritating my skin, and it was totally gone after only a day using the cup, plus not a single leak even overnight! Plus, with a toddler, it's really nice to not have to worry about changing it so often. I keep it right in my purse just in case since my cycle is still straightening out postpartum, and it doesn't take up any more room than a couple pads. And, I don't have to spend a cecentraln my cycles for another decade if I take care of it!

Quality product from a great company! 6 stars if I could!
I purchased my SckoonCup 7 months ago, I've waited this long before writing a review because I wanted to give it a fair try before potentially influencing someone else's decision. That said, I love and adore my cup. It is easy to clean, it is easy to maintain. It is easy to use, and I love the bright color, it makes those days a little easier :P There is a learning curve, an adjustment period if you will, I personally committed to myself to use nothing else except my Sckoon Cup for my first period and just "work through it" and figure it out. I am a stay at home Mom and just planned to stay home for my entire first period, so that no matter what happened, if I ended up having problems, I had a shower readily available. Thankfully, I never had any issues for my first period! Now, some important details, and I only mention these because I know that sometimes us "bigger girls" are afraid that we won't be able to use products like these. I am a big girl and have had 2 c-sections, and I have a fairly large apron belly and have diastasis recti. (Diastasis recti (also known as abdominal separation) defined as a separation of the rectus abdominis muscle into right and left halves.[1] This condition has no associated morbidity or mortality.) All that said, I have no problems using my SckoonCup! I find that elevating my left foot (I'm left handed) means that I can properly insert my cup and rotate it into place. I love the shape of the cup, reminding me of a beautiful flower, like a tulip. The vents at the top of the cup make for wonderful aids for insertion and removal. I've actually "filled" the cups a few times, and I find that the fuller the cups get the more they start naturally exiting the body. This is a wonderful product, and I love that it is made in the USA! I am intending on buying the Cup and Pad set for my daughter's first period! Thank you for making such a high quality product!! Since purchasing my cup, in the 7 months I've had it, I think I have only used sanitary napkins 3 times (like 3 total, not 3 periods), and that was not because of issues with the SckoonCup.

Good versitile cup for beginners
I'm not a typical menstrual cup user. I'm only 21 and I've yet to have children. That being said, I've owned both a size 1 and size 2 Sckoon cup as well as a size 1 Lunette. Here I will focus on the Sckoon cups. I've been using cups now for 2 years so I'm officially past the learning curve and can comfortably wear my cups with little leakage (more of a residual slobber) and for the full 12 hours regardless of my flow. Now onto the Sckoon cup. These cups are overall very small and comfortable. The base is wide and made of a medium-firm silicone and the rest of the cup is made of a thinner softer silicone. Since the mold is one piece, I suspect it's all made from the same silicone and the different thicknesses are to give different firmness levels. I use the 7 fold for Sckoon cups and I find it works well. The C fold will also work well but may be uncomfortable for those of us who aren't as stretched out down there. I do not recommend punching down as the cup will have difficulty popping out. The only bad thing about the cups are their extreme softness. If you have a strong pelvic floor you will squish the cup and lower the capacity. I don't find this as much of an issue but others might. Conversely the softness make the cup nice to wear at night because it doesn't press against your bladder. Additionally, the ring is kinda genius and makes the cup extremely comfortable while creating a nice seal. These cups also have a higher capacity than similarly sized cups due to the bell shape. Overall, a nice cup for beginners and those with average to weak pelvic floors and those with sensitive bladders. Additionally, I've worn these cups exercising, bike riding, swimming, and scuba diving with no issues and no water leaking in. Bonus Hint: When putting in these cups, it's crucial to ensure that the ring is fitting completely around the cervix (nose bumpy thing you should totally be able to find during menstruation as it drops down) to prevent leaking!

So difficult to insert and remove
I’ve come to find it that I have a high cervix. Despite that, I found the diva cup 1 extremely uncomfortable during wear so much so that it caused me to cramp even more. I opted for this cup thinking my issue was how wide and long the cup was so I ordered this one since it’s slightly smaller in both ways. However, this one is so difficult for me to insert since the rim is much thicker than diva’s and starts to open halfway thru insertion, causing cramps after initial insertion for 30-60 minutes. On the flip side, it doesn’t open all the way, so after having to struggle to twist it to get it to pop open, the sensation of it finally popping open is absolutely dreadful. Like my insides are getting sucked by a vacuum for that brief second. I had a gyno once tell me I have a tilted uterus (not sure fbthat makes a difference) and I haven’t had kids for reference, perhaps my vaginal canal is unusually narrow? Removal is also a pain since the material is so thick, as I’m pulling it out the rim always seems to get stuck. I have to tug it down forcefully so the rim doesn’t get jammed at my opening, which is painful either way. Ultimately this cup does not work for me and sadly there’s no way for me to get my money back. $50 down the drain between Sckoon and Diva. I’m seriously contemplating going back to pads at this point.
