If you need a short strap, this is it.
I bought the long guitar and bass versions years ago when I worked at a guitar store because they were the only variants we carried. The only difference between the guitar and bass versions is how wide the strap is, bass being the wider, and thus generally more comfortable. I'm pretty skinny, about 6' and around 135lbs, and I wear my guitar relatively high, so finding straps that are short enough can be really tricky. This was the same length as the strap I normally use as soon as I pulled it out of the shipping envelope, that made me pretty happy. There's not a ton of room for adjustment, only about 3-4 inches maybe, so measure how much length you need before you buy it. I grabbed this specifically because I wanted a short strap. If you do too, then you'll probably be a pretty happy camper. As I said, I've had the other models for a few years, and they're still going strong. I imagine this one will too. It's pretty cushy, and great for extended playing periods where other straps might start to really dig in. I use Schaller strap locks with mine, and I had to wiggle them in a bit, but the leather at the ends is thin enough that you can make it work. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and this is probably the only strap I'll use for a very long time.

... five stars for the purpose it serves and have recommended it to those with heavy guitars/basses
I give it five stars for the purpose it serves and have recommended it to those with heavy guitars/basses. I only use this for my heavy basses for it takes the weight off my shoulders. If you have a heavy axe, the only question to decide if you should get this strap is do you mind some elasticity for the strap? I does bounce/give a little which I personally like for it creates a slight floating effect while the neoprene itself is pretty comfortable. Sizewise and look wise, I cut of the first hole on the end that hooks to the top horn, looking like a more normal strap tab.

Exactly what I was looking for
For a super long time, I've been looking for a comfortable padded heavy duty guitar strap, but it's been really hard to find one that fits me because i'm 5'1 and wear my guitar high also. This is the best guitar strap I have ever used.

It appears to be a good strap...
I have only had this strap for a week but based on construction and the fact that I haven't actually used it for a gig yet, this strap appears to be a good one... It wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be like when I ordered it though. The build quality seams to be ok but we'll see how it holds up over time and more over, how comfortable it is to use which is the main reason for purchase. I have a fairly heavy bass that I'm planning on using it with (a Warwick Thumb NT 6) so we'll see how it does...The things I like so far: I like the 2 hole design on the tabs for positioning on the strap pins (strap locks) and I like the wide nylon portion of the strap for weight distribution... It looks to be comfortable and I do like the padding. As mentioned, I haven't actually used it yet (but I have inspected and tested it) but it does seam like it would live up to it's name.Things I don't like: It is somewhat "stretchy" on the part that actually goes on your shoulder and it feels "spongy" due to the neoprene I think. Not sure about this as I prefer a little more of a "solid" feel. This is the reason for my 4 star rating: I am used to leather and/or nylon straps that are solid and ridgid, without any give... This one is different... Time will tell if this was a good investment but for now, it appears to be a good comfy strap for my heavy bass...

comfort strapp
This is a perfect item for those heavy basses you own. It really does take the weight off the bass that makes more comfortable on your shoulder. I have a original Warwick Corvette made in Germany. If you know anything about Warwicks' made in Germany that they're pretty heavy basses. The comfort strapp takes the aome of weight off that I can play a whole gig without shoulder pain. I recommend this strap to anyone who has a heavy bass

Lives up to its name!
I've had the medium version of this strap for 2 years now and it is by far the most comfortable and helpful strap ever! That padding feels good! It distributes the weight of my 9 pound bass very well. I got the short one because my preference is playing higher above the waist. I recommend this strap for anyone who has back problems while playing with heavy instruments.

Comfy and really short
This strap is wide and spongy-soft. Very comfy on my neck and shoulder. It is VERY short. I am 5'4" and I didn't need to adjust it very much. And I play with my bass pretty high on my body. This would be good for kids and other shorties like me.

When they say short, they mean it.
I am a woman, 5'4", and I play a Gretsch Junior Jet bass. I was looking for a more comfortable strap. The one I have been using is leather and very plain. I ordered this Comfort Strapp Bass Guitar Strap, sized "short." They are not kidding, it is REALLY short, even extended to it's longest point. Too short for me. I would return it, but there is a tag on it when recieved that says they will not take it back if there is the slightest sign of use, and I had to put it on my guitar to see how it fit, and the leather part that slips on the knobs shows use, so now I can't return it. I do have another piece of equipment that hopefuly I will be able to use to carry it. I compared it to the leather strap length before I attached it, and it was about 1 1/2 to 2 inches shorter than my leather strap, so I figured it would be okay, but it was just too short. I hold the guitar pretty high up, and cannot see how any man could even use this strap, it is so short. I gave it 3 stars, because it looks like a decent strap, so I didn't want to taint its ratings too much. Just beware before you hook it to your guitar that if it shows any type of use whatsoever, they won't take it back.
