The price was very good, and I got them very quickly. I have just started playing the mandolin and I had bought an instrument off of Craig's list with a broken string. Because I am a beginner, I don't have the experience to speak as an expert, but I can say they sound good to me and they have been on my instrument for about a week and are settling down and not getting very far out of tune from day to day, so the stretching is already almost done with them. My friend who has played for a number of years told me that this brand of strings are very good, and the price I paid was cheaper than I could have paid for them here in a music store in our city.

Great strings, soft. Tried to improve action on cheap mandolin. You want to learn to play mandolin get a better instrument, you won't regret it.

These strings not only saved my hands but they give a sweet ringing sound. I play all genres. They’re great for international folk dance music, Irish, Italian Bulgarian, etc. now buying another set for my other mandolin.

I was having problems getting a nice sustained tone on my mandolin using medium/ heavy gauge strings, so my teacher, Mike Marshall, suggested I go to light gauge. I was concerned that I wouldn’t get as dark a sound and wouldn’t be able to play as loud. I am happy to say that now, I can hold down the strings better, getting a more sustained tone, and still can play loudly with almost as dark a tone. Mr. Marshall reviewed my last video lesson and raved about how my tone had improved. I’ve been used to using coated strings also but I like the tone of these better. I’m sure they won’t last as long as coated strings, but the tone and ease of playing seems to be worth changing more often. I’ve played one gig, four rehearsals and two church services and still don’t see a need to change them yet. Also, I had no problem with strings breaking as some have reported. I highly recommend you try a light set of strings. Great for beginners and for a veteran player like myself.

Strings both look and sound amazing!!

Great strings used to fix up an old Kentucky mandolin. They play great and were easy to change. They broke in quickly, nothing to complain about.
