I ordered the 6" spinner because I wasn't sure if the 12" would hang from a shepherds hook. The spinner is made of metal and the colors are so bright and noticeable. It does spin around in the wind and I hung another spinner from it. It looks really pretty when it moves. It came extremely well packed. When you get it, it comes flat so you have to bend it to get each row separated. It was a bit difficult to adjust and I didnt want to put too much pressure on it as I was afraid I would break it. It gives you directions on how to adjust the piece but its not as easy as it says. Overall I am very happy with this spinner and the company who makes them.

This is such a great addition to outside decorations. I have it out on our balcony with my Christmas decorations, but it's perfect to have up all Winter. It's beautiful. Very shiny and durable. Easy to put together to make it spin. This was such a great price, too! Definitely buy it!!!!!!

Update: I changed my review from one star to 4. After troubleshooting the spinner I noticed the spinning mechanism itself was smaller than the other one I purchased. I changed the spinning mechanism and it spins just as well as the other now. This one heavier than the other one I purchased so needs to have a larger spinning mechanism on it to reach it's full potential. I is beautiful and durable. Just needs a more robust hardware. One star because it doesn't spin. I bought a similar product, different brand at the same time and that one doesn't stop spinning. This one, however pretty, doesn't spin unless you help it along by pushing. Very disappointed as this one was five dollars more expensive than the one that works. I'll be buying more of the other brand.

I was shocked at the quality of this spinner when I took it out of the package. It is beautifully crafted and heavy. I was concerned about the colors as they showed in some of the photos, but couldn’t be more pleased with the way they look in reality—vibrant without being overly bright, rich and beautiful, and perfectly suited for natural settings. I hung mine from a tree branch that I can see from my back windows, and chose not to purchase the motor that allows it to turn constantly. I prefer to just ‘happen’ to see it spinning in the wind and feel delighted by it.
