Really helps read smaller print
Bought for 90 year old grandmother and she finds it great for reading. Reasonably robust, not too heavy, good value and good quality.

Excellent
Would thoroughly recommend this for anyone who has AMD. Excellent magnifying and with the light really helps to read small labels with ease. Also enabled me to read stories to my granddaughters where the print is in different colours on dark backgrounds.

Bought to replace an identical old one and as good as expected except for the cheap and nasty chinese batteries that didn't last two weeks.

Worth the money
My partner and I both have visual impairments and have tried a wide range of magnifiers but this is definitely the best so far. It is well made and strong and the light is effective but not glaring. The lens is a good size and the handle comfort able. They are not cheap but this is one case where I would say 'you get what you pay for'.
