Nutrition is important, this is a quality diet for your cat.
Iโve been feeding my cat this food for a few years after researching how nutritionally deficient the traditionally store bought pet food is. Basically, store bought food is garbage. Feeding your cat, and for that matter any pet that relies on you for nutrition, cheap pelletized food is the equivalent of feeding your child Cocoa Puffs for breakfast lunch and dinner their entire lives until they die. How can a brain and body live on that. It canโt, and itโs truly poisonous and destructive. No wonder most cats and dogs only live to be 13-17 years old and experience weight, vision, hearing and other neurological deficits coupled with organ failure. Iโve never seen a lion eating wheat, soy, corn, or sweet potatoes in the Sahara. So, why is it in so called healthy cat food? Cats usually donโt eat fish either. They eat the biggest land animals they can take down, and need the proteins and fats from these prey animals to build their own muscles, brains, and systems. Animals will eat what tastes good just like children. Although responsible pet owners will feed their cared for animals a diet which best mimics their natural diet. Which in turn extends their quality of live and quality of social engagement with their human. People that donโt know me always assume my cat is about 5 years old, including veterinarians. Her fur is like silk, eyes bright and clear, teeth are white, and playful as a kitten. No health problems, and the vet literally says My 14 year old cat is healthier than any of her 4 and 5 year old feline patients. Nutrition is important

Very high quality cat food !
Wow ! First of all I was surprised that this cat food is made in Thailand ! My cats are very picky . I ordered this because my Maggie has hypothyroidism and I had to cut all seafood for her because of iodine is not good fir this condition. And it looked like a great ingredients food . I also made dyi food for them recommended by veterinarian but my cats wouldn't touch it . So today this shipment came . I thought I will have to return it but ........ they ate it all whole 6oz can . including the video ... sorry for sound because my TV was on .

High protein, low phosphorus and carb, good price
The Chicken Frick a Zee flavor is a high-quality food if you're looking for something that's high in protein and low in phosphorus and carbs. The texture is a mix of coarse and fine shreds in gelee. I usually mix it with additional water to ensure that the kitties are well-hydrated. It's a good choice if your cats like poultry flavors. Other flavors also ticked the same boxes. The Isla Bonita flavor is lower in phosphorus, but also slightly lower in protein and higher in carbs. It's also not as calorie-dense as Frick A Zee however, so your kitty will need more. Weruva's Paw Lickin Chicken is in some ways superior, but it's more expensive. Frick A Zee is lower in protein and higher in fat by comparison, but this isn't necessarily bad. Lastly, if you're looking for something with no carbs at all, then check out Tiki Cat Koolina Luau. It's higher in protein, lower in phosphorus, and zero carb, but also more expensive than Weruva. Other pluses: Weruva as a company is transparent and informative on the nutritional content of their products. This also played a role in my purchasing decision.

Best Cat Food On the Market
Weruva is the 2nd to BEST food for the 9/10 of my cats - Dr. Pierson's homemade, raw diet is still #1. Unfortunately, one of my cats would not touch raw after 18 months of devouring it - although it saved her life (long story). In 2013, my cats' Holistic Veterinarian recommended Weruva as a last resort, before we decided that she needed tests to rule out Pancreatitis - it turned out that she was able to keep in this food and digest it properly. My other cats are eating Weruva as well (some more than others & only 1/10 refuses to eat Anything else Except the homemade raw diet) and all are perfectly healthy and energetic. So, out of all the many brands on the market I tried for my 10 cats in almost 5 years, this is THE BEST one so far (saved them from vomiting and diarrhea, to say the LEAST). And, comparing it to other brands, it has a limited amount of ingredients and fillers - which is a good thing. However, it is unfortunate (for the environment) that it is not made in the U.S., but if that's what it takes to make good-quality pet food, then so be it... Weruva still deserves at least five stars just for being on top of their research and "going the extra mile" in order to make those lucky pets happier and healthier.. I would definitely recommend Weruva to anyone owned by a dog or a cat.

the formula has changed over the years; my cats can no longer digest it
When we first started feeding Weruva to our cats 4 years ago it was clear from opening the can that the food was made from whole cuts of meat. You could see the meat chunks and get a sense for why you were spending so much money per meal on your cat. Over time, however, the food has dropped in quality. It is now a ground up slurry. In addition, we had to take our male cat off of it a year ago because he developed a sensitivity to something in the food which gave him vicious diarrhea and caused him to lose 5 pounds of weight (he's a ragdoll cat, so he has a large skeletal frame) before the vet concluded that there was nothing physically wrong with him but he needed to switch foods. Then, about 6 months ago our female cat started to suffer loose stools. Again, the vet cleared her of any health problem and concluded that the food was the problem. Our two cats are not genetically related to one another, other than being of the same breed, yet both of our cats got sick eating this food within 6 months of each other. Both of my cats have regained their lost weight and they are doing fine on their new diet. YMMV, but I'd recommend against even trying it, especially given its premium price.

Great food, but FALSE ADVERTISING - 5.4 net ounces, not 6.0
The food is great. My cat loves it. But the manufacturer cheats on how much food they deliver, hence the 3 stars. If they actually delivered 6.0 net ounces, as advertised, I'd give it 5 stars, but according to my very precise kitchen scale, the actual weight of the food (i.e., the FOOD, without the can; the net weight) ranges from 5.6 ounces down to as low as 5.4 ounces. So I feel cheated. Given that my finicky cat is very hard to please, and would much rather eat crunchy kibble, but HAS to have wet food due to her refusal to drink water and a very sensitive urinary tract, I'm stuck having to feed her canned food. She has turned up her nose at other canned cat food, so I will continue to buy this food, but it irks me every time I see that "net weight: 6.0 oz." on the label." Liar, liar, pants on fire! Meanwhile, I've found a compromise, which also helps with my cat's tooth tartar issue: at each meal, breakfast and dinner, I feed her 2 ounces of wet food, with a "moat" of water around it (which she laps up happily -- but NOT if it's mixed in *with* the food, *only* if it's a "moat" *around* the food), then give her a couple of tablespoons of Hill's Science Diet Oral Care kibble as "dessert." (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003MWBFMK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Kitty is happy, kitty-mama is happy (except for supporting a company that falsely advertises its wares). Weruva, I applaud the quality of your cat food, but I sure wish you'd do a better job delivering what you promise!

Our Cat Likes This Stuff and It's Good For Her
After our previous cat died at age 16 from kidney failure (ate Purina Cat Chow and Meow Mix), we did some reading about cat health and now realize we didn't do our cat any favors by feeding her dry food. The current thinking is that cats should get most of their water needs from their diet. We got a new cat in 2012 and started over. We began with original Weruva products. We stay away from beef, lamb and fish since these are not natural prey for cats and sometimes trigger food allergies. (Cats' natural prey are birds and small rodents). We moved on to Cats in the Kitchen products because they are a bit cheaper. Sure, they don't have the free range chicken, but really, does a cat need it? Also, CITK products give you a half ounce more and seem less watery to us. CITK chicken and turkey products, like Weruva original and their new, even pricier, TruLuxe brand are not pate, but shredded meat which personally I find to have a lot less "ick" factor when I dish it out. We do supplement with a bit of dry food (Orijen) but the bulk of her diet is CITK. This food is made in Thailand. According to the owners, it is made to the same standards as human canned food since it is canned in a human food factory. Thailand doesn't worry us. We remember the 2007 scare where there were multiple pet foods from Canada that poisoned and killed many cats and dogs......

Cats love it. I order about a case a month
Cats love it. I order about a case a month. I use it more as a daily treat for my cats. I plop a large spoonful on my cats' dry food each morning and night. Go through one can a day. They look forward to it. If I forget, they always remind me. I don't feed them all wet because it would be too expensive and one cat really loves her dry food. I started giving them grocery store wet food as a treat. I bought the best quality I could find but the quality wasn't as good as this and was actually more expensive.
