How many oz of cereal does small 2.5 quarts hold?

There are three sizes (this is the medium size the picture you are showing me). The small fits one box of cereal. A 14 oz bag. The medium fits the next size up in boxes of cereal, or 1.5 boxes of the 14 oz. the large is huge! I can put three bags into that one. Hope that helps.

What size containers are in the 3 pack?

10 inches tall 3 1/2 wide and 9 inches deep

how this compares to Rubbermaid's cereal holder?

Not sure about Rubbermaid one. This one provides an airtight seal with a single press and is 100% BPA free.

Approximately how many ounces of cereal does the small and medium containers hold?

I bought the 2.5 qt container and it perfectly held 18 oz (1 lb 2 oz) box of cereal with a little room to spare.
