Total weight is about 13 oz.The canopy has a diameter of about 38 in. when fully opened to provide protection from both sun and rain. The cream fabric used around the edges looks nice and makes it easier to identify.The shaft is metal and the rib sections are a mix of aluminum alloy and flexible fiberglass.The handle fits nicely in the hand and has a large, stretchy wrist loop. There is a button near the top that automatically opens and closes the umbrella with a strong snap, which is very convenient.
