Great product for helping an orphaned newborn kitten!!

I recently had to take in a newborn kitten because the mom (a feral cat) abandoned it. This kitten was maybe 2 or 3 days old. I was so scared I would lose him because kittens are so vulnerable at this age. He would eat but he would not poop at all no matter how much I tried to stimulate him. I googled what to do and learned that kittens desperately need colostrum, and they get it from their mothers milk, however, you could also use bovine colostrum. Come to find out, I found this product on Amazon with great reviews so I bought it in hopes that it would help with digestion. I had the product overnighted to me so I could give my kitten a fighting chance. I gave the kitten a small amount of colostrum the moment it arrived and again with each feeding for the first day. Within 12 hours of administering the first dose, I poop you not— he finally had a super healthy looking poop! I was so happy that I cried lol. Constipation is so dangerous for a kitten and I truly believe this product saved my kitten. I also highly recommend a set of syringes and nipples that attach to them for feeding, as bottles are too big and could leak or lead to aspirational pneumonia. I bought some (also on Amazon) and it’s truly and sincerely helped. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this product. It’s truly life changing and I will swear by it for the rest of my life. Thank you for saving my kitten!

This is something I recommend all neonatal kittens foster providers keep on-hand at all times during kitten season. You need to have it already in the house because the first 24-48 hours are the most important for getting the benefits of a colostrum supplement. I have found this to make a big difference in starting off the newest, most fragile newborn orphaned kittens. It's easy to mix a dose into a tablespoon of kitten milk replacer and bottle or syringe-nipple feed normally.

Always a good product

This formula (color of egg whites and a bit thicker) did seem to immediately stimulate the pups to nurse. The smallest pup in particular nursed for a full hour after giving supplement. However the syringe was large and a bit hard to handle. The plunger has a scale printed on the handle. It was hard to get a shot less than 2 ml and it left the pups with more than a mouth full. A bit messy. I can not be sure this is related, but one pups tummy may have not agreed with the supplement, getting gassy. It required some infant gas x. I would give again because it did stimulate nursing. But will be cautious if the one puppy is gassy. I would probably not shoot the formulas directly into the small puppy mouth but find another way to give it to them.

Purchased for newborn kittens just in case I needed it but it was hard to dose kittens. I ended up giving some to my queen who loved it. A great item to give especially after labor , delivery and nursing queens.Wish it was more affordable. At $27 ,it was too expensive to buy another .

I got this For an upcoming litter of puppies it worked well for puppies that were having a hard time i liked this product because was easy to use effective on feeding puppies worth the money and easy for the puppy to take
