How much hair does 1 box do? wondering if I have to order 2 boxes my hair is below my shoulders

One of the XL tubes will do multiple colourings. My hair is well below my shoulders and I’ve used one tube for 3 separate colours. It’s highly pigmented too, so a little does a lot. They don’t last long, but the variety of colours available and the fact you can mix them to make other colours, is fantastic.

Question 2

I want this more of a pastel pink , is there a way to make it lighter?

Accepted Answer

Yes just use any white conditioner (make sure it’s no other colour or it will make a different colour with the dye) I just pour out a load of conditioner (depending on how long your hair is) then add a few drops of colour. Start of with small amounts of the colour and stir it. Keep adding drops until you get the desired colour you want.

Did anyone do a patch test? My daughter who is 11 wants her hair pink for the summer holidays, will this be OK?

Children’s hair should not be coloured, because the hair may not fully mature until well into adolescence.  Often, it does not have a cuticle layer (the protective layer, which acts as a barrier) and may still be lacking full natural pigment. Hair composition and lack of maturity in adolescent hair often result in permanent staining, making it almost impossible to remove semi-permeant and direct dye shades. It is due to such staining issues that colour manufacturers must state such products as unsuitable for persons under 16.
