PHILIPS901573 Master Color CDM Lamp 315 Watt Elite MW, 4200K (Blue)

Great light! Im using in a 30x30 tent. Plants love it with lots of growth. I replaced a 50w x4 COB led grow light total power was 200w(listing stated it was 800w). This is much better! I used it in a Hydro Crunch fixture and it works perfect. Couldn't be happier. Will probably be buying more.

Bulb #1My old Ushio cmh lasted one season then burned out so I replaced it with this one. The fixture is a two bulb fixture and already has one of these in it. This purchase would make two of the same bulb in the same fixture. The bulb arrived after dinner and was wrapped in buble wrap. I opend the box and I allowed the bulb to warm up to room temperature overnight. I installed the bulb wearing nitrile gloves and never dropped or shook the bulb. Upon the lamp turning on the first day it exploded literally(see picture). If the outter uv case has not been there a fire would have happened. Why a bulb that costs $109+tax would explode on first striking is poor qaulity on Phillips part. Amazon issued a full replacement and I returend the broken one. Hopefully the replacement will not dissappoint. Manufactured in nov 2020Bulb #2Bulb arrived in bubble wrap as before. The bulb was allowed to sit for a full 24+hours to come to room temperature. The bulb was handled at all times with nitrile gloves. The outter glass uv cover seemd a bit wiggly but nothing major. I installed the bulb gently. Upon first light the arc tube cracked and bulb failed. Upon further insepction the arc tube support that goes in the radius end of the bulb was not supporting the arc tube and has a piece laying on the inner glass bulb floor. Manufacture nov 2020 same as bulb#1. Anothre return to amazon but this time just a refund. I will not give Phillips another chance to fail.Update may31,2024Amazon has now had my returned bulb #2 for 5 weeks and keeps stalling on a refund. Two customer service reps and almost 2 hours later I finally have a refund.

So far its working great. I'm almost through my first grow using it. (3 weeks to go) I'm using it in a 2x4x6 foot grow tent in a cheep fixture. I won't know how good it work until I harvest and measure the yield but, for now the plants look very good.This lamp puts out less head than a 500watt CF fixture with 8 - T5 tubes I was running previously.

I am using it for mid veg and flower..but lamp will burn out prior than advertised. Spectrum is noticable brighter for the first few weeks...gonna need to order another.

I bought this bulb 10 months ago. So because i have only had one return (due to my error) in 7 years of being an amazon prime member i didnt check to make sure it worked. I was OVERconfident i guess that if amazon sent me a defective product they would make it right. Long story short, just now screwed the bulb in to veg some baby marijuana plants and it ignited and warmed up to peak performance, i woke up this morning and BUST. Thier were 2 little pieces of glass rattling around inside when i first got it, but when it lit up i figured those pieces wouldnt effect anything. Either way im out of $$ and my confidence in buying everything possible through amazon is GONE!If they want to make it up and keep a prime member just REPLACE it!!moral of the story is try whatever u buy right away or else amazon will screw you. Being a prime member and having a Visa amazon credit card that you've spent over $10k on, it means nothing! 😢😩Addition on April 19th 2020:So they did accept the bulb back and I got a refund minus the $10 stocking fee, I had to call back once they recieved my returned bulb and remind them to now refund me my last $10.Anyway so I re order another bulb because my plants love them in Veg and as supplemental along with LED during bloom. So the bulb came and this time it was shattered all inside the bulb. So i requested to send that one back and have them send out another as soon as they saw the return tracking #. Get this!!...I now recieved my 3rd 315 CMH bulb from them and it's in a bigger box with air filled bags around the bulb to supposedly protect it from breaking!? All I know is it didn't work!! 3 up 3 down whoever is behind this account is not good at making sure product gets to customers in one piece!!! SMH

One light veg to bloom.

Switching from 400w MH to 315w CMH completely ruined my garden! All the plans wer fine and dandy with short internodal spacing and a bushy plant structure. Now all the branches have stretched 4 times the distance between internodal spacing after only one week of using a 315w CMH! The idea that a 315 CMH lamp can replace a 600w MH lamp it is a complete mess. I don't care what the numbers say, the plants say it all! I have never seen so much stretching of branches in my life until after switching to using this 315 CMH lamp. This lamp greatly stimulates my plants to stretch like they are barely getting any light and the stwms have gotten smallwr and weaker just from s1itching to this lamp from 4000K 400W MH. Not only that, but all the leaves on the bottom of my plants are now turning yellow from lack of light. Whereas with my 400w MH lamp there is no yellowing, the internodal spacing is much closer and the plants even look healthier with thicker bigger stems and leaves. I have no idea how they come up with 16" from canopy when the plants stretch for the light at 12" from the canopy.

Philips makes the best bulbs money can buy but unfortunately refuse to ship in anything but the horrible cardboard boxes they refuse to change from. So even though I desperately want to use their bulbs I can't get one in one piece, so I switched brands. What's the point of using the best if you can't get them in one piece. Vivosun packs in foam and I've never had a broken bulb from them. Get it together Philips

Bought this bulb and doesn't work at all, even tried it on both my my light fixtures doesn't even want to try and ignite. While my 3100 bulb works on both fixtures no problem... ordered a second one and the glass was broken, so lesson learned "never buy glass products through amazon.
