Do these candles have the clear plastic base or the tin base?

It is *not* a tin base. The base, or cup, is aluminum.

What are these candles made of? They seem very soft, greasy, and not like real wax at all.

Not sure, but I agree they are not made of wax - they are terrible candles. They leak all over the place and I have since purchased different tea lights - avoid these!

if these are the same ones that i buy from IKEA, then they burn for 4 hours. they are only $5.99 at IKEA, if you are lucky enough to live by one.

If you have genuine Ikea candles, they should burn for 4 hours+, but counterfeit Ikea candles burn for only 2 hours.Genuine Ikea candles look real Ikea, easy to tell, but fake ones come with suspicious American flag sticker and little home made inkjet printed sticker that says Ikea Glimma on the package.
