Does not smell like Bourbon. Broke my heart.
I'm not sure what type of bourbon this balm is trying to emulate, but it isn't the kind you drink. I have to assume it is some foul industrial product that smells more like shoe polish or furniture wax than bourbon. It has the consistency of beard balm, but the smell is so offensive that I can't use it. I'm sure it would make my beard lovely as it states if I kept using it, but when you are expecting the smell of a nice beverage and get whatever that scent is instead, it's a no go.

Fails to deliver and perform.
This product in no way smells like mint when I received the product it had this film on top of it. I thought that maybe I needed to perhaps warm the product up and then maybe mix the thin layer of top film into the actual mixture, but with no pliable success. The product still failed to deliver on fragrance and general usability. I don't know if it was a fluke this time but I'm definitely not going to be purchasing this product again. If you're looking for something that works evertime, I would go with the first product I've ever used called 100% natural beard balm by Leven Rose and it is fragrance-free and that has been the one that has worked without fail every time for me.

"Unscented" might be a better description.
Stay positive.Stay positive.Negative reviews are garbage.Crap. I have to leave a negative review... I feel horrible."Bourbon scent" Okay--I'm not sure what this is. Maybe I got the most faulty of faulty tins. My nose works just fine and this...doesn't smell like bourbon. Like...at all.If this was listed as "unscented" beard balm I'd be all over it. Well-- not really. Who buys unscented beard balm? I'm sure someone. But not me.Can I just PLEASE get a beard balm that actually smells like bourbon? I'll give you all of my hard earned dollars. AND this tin of unscented beard balm.

I have a pretty long beard (about 3 months of growth) and while I was growing it out I used beard oil, but that seemed to cause lots of flyaway hairs. This stuff gives the same benefit as oil (makes my beard look healthy, not bristly and dry) and also has some thickness to provide hold. The smell is not strong at all, but very pleasant. My wife loves it, but it's very subtle. I have to say this has changed my beard so much for the better. Recommend using it once per day, after you dry off your beard in the shower. Use twice the amount as usual for the day or two a week after you shampoo your beard.

This product truly does make your beard feel wonderful, even for very coarse types of beards you will notice the difference, less splitting ends, less tangling. The sandal wood/Vanilla scent is not very noticeable, infact I can hardly notice it at all and it doesn't last throughout the day. All in all a wonderful product, and well worth the price, even though I feel it's expensive.

Worst Beard Oil I've ever used.
Worst beard product I've ever encountered. Doesn't rub in without small pellets of gelatnous goo appearing in my beard or hair. This is the most regrettable purchase I've made on Amazon. No hint of nectarine OR mint. It only smells like wood.

While not an extreme hold balm, it does seem to have a slightly better hold than other brands I've tried and certainly has a less greasy feel and look.
