Absolutely lovely cover. True leather with a nice smooth exterior and the traditional fibrous interior. Comes with one hard-wired elastic for attaching notebooks, and one loose one. Between these you can attach 3 or 4 inserts no issue. 3 or 4 is about the limit for this size depending on size of insert. Scratches and patinas well as you'd expect. Included elastic comes with nice brass (or brass effect) type nuts/decorations which are a nice touch. This is a passport notebook which mean it accepts smaller refills. 5x3.5 inches. It does come with several blank ones - the quality is good but you should not buy these refills since it is 9 quid for 3 refills at this specialist size. If you buy standard A6 dotted inserts you can get 16 for 11 quid on Amazon and probably less elsewhere. The price difference is insane. The A6 ones are slightly larger and indeed do peek out from the sides of the leather cover a few mm especially when filled with a lot of inserts but the price difference is impossible to argue with. I love the travelers notebook system - having individual inserts for different purposes is great, and you can add other inserts. I use mine to store cards and cash also to save carrying a separate wallet. I bought this as my first travelers notebook and thought I'd check out the official Midori ones too and was astonished at the price, especially the custom and limited edition inserts you see all the YouTubers have. I'm very pleased that WANDERINGS offers essentially the same thing without the massive markup. I was so pleased with it that I bought another one for my lifting notebook that lives in my gym bag. Means I can have my notebook, pen, gym card, and locker token all in one place as I was forever misplacing these.

Received my A5 leather notebook cover with three plain books, packaging was substantial and no damage at all. Upon opening the cardboard outer I was greeted by a beautiful leather cover, the three books were already inserted and all sat within the cover itself. The leather is very good quality both outside and inside, it gives great coverage to three notebooks with enough overlap to protect them, the notebooks are slightly smaller than other A5 notebooks I have so I will purchase refills from Wanderings...which is no problem as the paper is great, no bleed or feathering when using a fountain pen. I have a few other travellers notebooks from different companies and this is the first A5 one I have bought, I am very impressed with the storage capacity, the materials are excellent quality and the size is great, easier to write in due to the wider pages compared to the Standard size travellers notebooks. Highly recommended!

This is quite a lovely travelers notebook. The leather is supple and soft and scratches easily but I quite like that. Comes with three lovely inserts the paper is great though they are quite stiff to open and they don't open flat. The colour of the leather is slightly different the in the picture. Its more of a yellowish/green undertone then the deep rich brown in the picture. But that doesn't distract from the quality and may change with patina. A wonderful notebook to buy with everything you need to get started

This is a very well made item. The leather is lovely in the outside and the paper quality really nice. I’ve knocked one star off because I wanted leather on both sides. This is definitely leather on the outside but then it has a cotton like coating on the inside. I emailed Wanderings and they said it was to keep it affordable. But I’d have paid more for a thicker leather in both sides.

I'm so happy to have found this! I tried a few, but not many available with this filling string mechanism whereby you can fill it with more than one notebook insert, and the others I tried could not fit standard A5 notebooks in papers I prefer. The quality of this leather journal cover is gorgeous, it's very thick and soft and high quality. It's amazing value for money, especially as it comes with 3 notepad inserts supplied. I didn't want to write on blank paper, so I've just filled it with 3 x A5 Clairefontaine notebooks, which fit perfectly, and above all this is what I eonter a leather cover for. Couldn't find one the right size anywhere else. After I took the 3 supplied inserts out, I found it a bit tricky to work out how to get the 3rd of my books in. The first 2 were easy. Thankfully, they provide a really helpful product video, showing how you fill it, and I was able to work it out after watching that. I enclosed photos. It's absolutely perfect for my needs, and such beautiful quality. This is the 3rd brand I purchased, and the only one which is suitable and wasn't misdescribed for fitting actual A5. Many thanks to the seller for answering my pre-purchase query. I think this is the best leather notebook cover on the market.

I was so thrilled when this arrived - I’d been looking for a large travellers notebook to keep for life, and this is great quality and does the same job as the ones 4x the price. Can’t wait to see how it ages with use and fill it up. I also bought 3 ruled inserts as this comes with plain inserts. Paper quality is lovely. Very happy!

Bought as a gift for my son when he went travelling. He loved it. I got a selection of plain and lined paper so that he could write, doodle and stick things in to create himself a fab keepsake of his travels. Great quality, very stylish design. Easy to add in notepaper and to remove. Great gift. Really pleased with it.

I am a travellers notebook addict, as I already own 3 Midori passport sized journals and one full size. This little journal is much better than any of my Midoris! The leather picks up marks naturally to give you an aged look, but some leather cream would make it look perfect if that is more your style. The leather cover lays perfectly flat when open with no clipping required, but the best bit for me is the dimensions of the cover. I haven’t measured with a ruler, but I have placed my blue Midori on top, and the wanderings journal is just slightly more generous in the width of the cover. This means that it will hold 3 inserts without annoying overhang at the side edge, like I get from all 3 of my passport Midoris. This may not be an issue for you, but I like to carry the Midori weekly diary and 2 notebooks- for things that need to be kept e.g collections- if you bullet journal, and one for daily notes. This little journal does that with some room to spare. I also have a Midori plastic zip wallet insert in mine, and a new edition of a moleskin pocket sticky notes book. The moleskin pocket size is a little larger than this journal and the Midori passport size, but at the back it doesn’t bother me poking out a few mm top and bottom. There is no way in the world a Midori could handle these contents- or at least non of my 3 can! This may not be something that would bother you, but for me it makes this little wanderings journal a little piece of heaven! I love the brass toggles on the elastics and the leather on the band makes the closure point more secure. It also allows the inserted notebooks to lay flat when opened alongside each other, another thing my Midoris with more than 2 inserts don’t. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and journal to anyone. It is very well priced and the quality is excellent. The little paper notebooks that it came with are also stitched rather than cheaply stapled and open well despite this small size- other books tend to try and flip closed again and require some pressure to hold open to write it. Don’t hesitate, buy one. You won’t regret it!

Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Leder-Notizbuch! Das Leder fühlt sich fantastisch an, riecht angenehm und ist hervorragend verarbeitet. Durch die praktische Nachfüllfunktion wird es mich sicher über Jahre hinweg begleiten. Die Größe von 19x25.5 cm ist perfekt für den Alltag und auf Reisen – es bietet reichlich Platz zum Schreiben und Skizzieren, ist aber nicht zu sperrig. Ein echtes Schmuckstück, das ich jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen kann!

Wanderings maakt een topproduct. Het omslagelastiek zit in de rug geknoopt en niet op de achterkant, zodat er geen vervelende bult onder je pagina ligt. Ook hun inserts zijn van betere kwaliteit. Deze boekjes zijn genaaid in plaats van geniet. Het kompas is een leuke decoratie voor een reisverslag, geschikt voor alle soorten reizen.

Great quality leather that feels nice to touch - smooth and soft. It's easy to swap out journal inserts if you want to. Mine arrived with a slight scratch on the cover and the closing elastic a bit loose feeling but otherwise a good journal of a good size.

This Wanderer's Grande, although it sounds like a Starbuck's coffee, is really a superior personal journal. It arrived promptly and absolutely beautifully packaged. As a gift, it will easily convince any recipient of the giver's admiration and respect. Utterly top quality. The touchable cover is so luxurious and leathery that the cow who provided it must be proud as punch. The paper (easily replaceable with blank, dotted or lined inserts, making it a lifelong treasure) is substantial in weight with a nicely finished surface that doesn't bleed through. It underscores and complements any budding author's self-acknowledged genius. Honestly, as a journal, it is so nice and pristine that I carried this book around for three days, afraid to write in it for fear of making a spelling error and ruining the first page. When I finally did force myself to sit down and write the date, April 7th, to enter my first witty observation, the thing I noticed almost immediately, was that the date was actually May 7th and I had already messed up my perfect clever beginning. This one journal, even with its opening entry that smacks of obvious stupid overconfidence, has replaced several smaller notebooks and journals as my go-to place to keep the data, notes and sketches that make my life so fascinating and enviable. You won't go wrong with this unless you get so bewildered that you forget where (and when) you are in the space/time continuum. 10/10 with a star, a cross and a bullet. I recommend it highly. This is the one. No kidding. It is so beautiful it's intimidating, especially for perfectionists, and folk like me who have a very big whatchamacallit - list of words that we know.

I've used it for two weeks & really love the rustic look and feel of this TN. One thing i really like is that notebooks from Wanderings are saddle stiched, which is actually not easy to find elsewhere. This is going to be one of those TN I knew I'd adore for years. It comes with a lovely card and is well packaged.
