My jack Russell hates getting teeth brushed and could never get her to stay still to reach the back teeth and it stressed her and myself, the tartar was building up on back teeth. I went to local pet store to find a solution and found the Whimzees. I give my dog one small stix a day she loves them and with in a week there was huge difference. The shape off the chew encourages her to use her back teeth to chew and it takes her longer to chew through the stix, which she didn't do with other types of dental sticks , this chewing action has helped remove the hard tartar and improve her stinky breath, which I know was giving her discomfort as always scratching at her mouth. Using The Whimzees stix is less stressful for us both when using this as part off her tooth health and also brushing teeth. I also recommended Whimzees to my sister-in-law for her collie as having the same dental issues and it's worked with removing tartar and means fresher breath. I order two bags at a time now to make sure I never run out.

My dog had a problem with plaque and we were giving her daily Dentastix which she seemed to finish in 2 seconds flat! My vet recommended we switch to Whimzees and wow, what a transformation! These take much longer for her to finish (for reference, she is a Weimaraner) which means there is much more time for the chews to work their magic and eat away at her plaque. Where the Dentastix made absolutely no difference to her teeth, these really have worked wonders. Yes, they are more expensive than Dentastix but in my opinion they are definitely worth the money! tl;dr - Way better than Dentastix, get these if your dog has a plaque issue.
