By far better than Hue LCT015
I've the Kasa KL130 and a Hue LCT015 in the same room and everything about the Kasa is better. The colors are less... white.., they go to what I set and don't hop about on the chart every-time I open the app (color of the bulb doesn't change but it definitely does not feel as though what I choose is what it's set to.. rather it's picking a close approx to where I am on the color wheel and it shows me what it actually set it to when I reload the app. In the pictures you can see the Kasa bulb in the lampshade, and the Hue in the feathery poof ball. The Kasa is more of a deep rich lavender while the Hue is white washed. The screen shots show the Hue set to a far lavender color, but when I reload the app it places the color to something further over to blue and white. By contrast, Kasa just works. It helps that the Kasa is brighter, but I also find the app more responsive. It is missing the picture color map feature of the Hue (which I love) but the colors in my photos are never quite right so the color of the bulb is twice removed from that of the reality. By contrast, Kasa offers a temperature/brightness automation that has the bulb try to match what it would be like outside right now, which is what I use the photo option of the Hue for anyway, and it's much better at it. Over all, I'm happier with the Kasa and will be reselling the Hue. I should be able to buy two more Kasa bulbs on sale for the price of the used Hue and in the end, that seals the deal. As long as Kasa keeps with good quality and good sales, I'm a Kasa fan boy.

Fantastic Smart Bulbs
I bought two of these bulbs during a couple of days. They are extremely easy and fast to install, very bright (of course dimmable, too), and all the millions of colours are really vivid. Kasa app is brilliant, it is so comfortable to operate these lamps (and the two Kasa Smart Plugs I bought two weeks earlier). Everything just works and is soooo enjoyable. What else can you ask? Worth ten, not only five, stars. I love my Kasa Smart Bulbs (and the Kasa Smart Plugs). Wonderful. :-)

It does EXACTLY what it states. Works immediatly with SKY Q
I purchased and returned a cheaper smart bulb it was a nightmare. I am tech savvie but instructions had writing less than 1mm high !!! Ordered this buld as thought lets try better quality as first bulb I am installing with Echo dot. Also have Sky Q and issues with 5.0 a well known fact when bulbs work on 2.4. Well they said it works with any router so what the hell lets try it. Took me 60 secs to install and link to Alexa totaly fautless. Lovely light and great and simple app. If you want a great quality light output and stupid simple to install and use look no further its perfect. Now off to order a load more for the rest id the house .

You need to know this before buying
Be aware that this bulb needs a dedicated 2.4ghz Wi-Fi network for it to install and work. It will NOT install on a dual band 2.4/5ghz Wi-Fi network. I found this out the hard way, by spending a good while trying to install it on a dual band mesh network. It will not even install on a 2.4ghz 'guest' network running on your dual band network. What I did was create a separate 2.4ghz network with its own ssid using a cheap router that I had. Its not a trivial exercise. All that said, once you have a 2.4ghz network it's easy enough to install the bulb using the Kasa app and it integrates nicely with Alexa. In fact I use Alexa all the time to switch this bulb on and set it's colour and brightness. So check what Wi-Fi network you have before buying this bulb and save yourself a lot of hassle.

A great light bulb
I have to admit I was surprised at how easy this has integrated into my smart home with such ease; no hub required just wifi. Download the app follow the instructions and in moments it's found and workable. It was easy to add to a Alexa routine so the light becomes operable via your voice (on/off colour change) Whilst it doesn't have all the whistles and bells of a Philips Hue bulb, the brightness/ lumen is much better with this bulb and it's considerably cheaper. Would I recommend this product most definitely under the proviso that the purchaser understands the limitations of the product.

Works well and easy to install
This product works very well with Google Assistant as well using the Kasa app. It has a good range of colours and is nice and bright too.

Finally - a great smart bulb that works on 5GHz wifi !
I bought a few ‘smart’ light bulbs before I realised that my wifi was 5GHz, and not the usual 2.4GHz. Smart bulb, but not smart human. This is my second one of these bulbs, and it was so easy to set up it took about two minutes (I think the first one took a bit longer). Alexa also has a firm control over it. 😊 If I say ‘Alexa, smart bulb to dark blue’, that’s exactly what happens. Once set up, the app is great too. Much easier than the other smart bulb apps to do all the stupid things you want to do (like change it to dark blue). Get one. If you’re as sad as me, you’ll love it. 😬

Great!
Setup was quite easy. Works great and is reliable. I have 2 TP link bulbs, a TP link switch and 3 other smart plugs from another brand, all connecting to my Home Assistant RPi hub - connection was easy though HA restarts at times have made the devices unavailable for a brief period. Colours are great though even at 2% its quite bright. Definitely recommend them!
