First Language Lessons Levels 1 & 2 Audio Companion: Audio Companion

This is a great homeschool tool! We are about half way through First Language Lessons level 1 book (using with a kindergarten boy). I love how easy they make it for the teacher. This CD has been an added bonus because my son realllly loves listening to it. He sometimes puts the CD in and just listens to all of the tracks. I think that's great for his language development. I'd rather have him listening to this than mindlessly watching TV. The audio tracks are clear and easy to hear. They are read in a clear voice and appeal to both the student and the teacher. I'd even buy this as a gift for a little homeschooler if I knew they were using the First Language Lessons book!

Great resource for memory work . Part of the program requires students to commit to memory poetry. Having the poem on cd is wonderful. My children can listen, practice and learn and the cd never gets tired of repeating to poem! Get where I'm going with this Moms? Yes I am there teaching the lesson, and then I am able to offer a way to independently review and learn the poem. I have multi ages in this program and it also is a source of help in multi tasking. One student uses the cd to practice or listen to the narration and I may be working one to one with a younger learner. Money well spent.

I bought this to accompany our First Language Lessons book. I love the curriculum, and thought the audio would be a great addition to it. Hearing the poems read is great, but the chants for learning the parts of speech, prepositions, and such is really not very catchy. My children think the chants are boring, and not very helpful. They love to listen to the poems and stories read though.

Nice, but unnecessary...the First Language Lessons reading selections are brief; it takes very little time to read them. We use the cd as review when we're in the car. It's great for that!

This is a great compliment to the FLL book - we love listening to it in the car. I enjoy it as much as my daughter does!

Great CD, just wish they had the chants about noun etc on the CD.

This is a great tool for families on the go, to use along with the language lesson book 1 & 2. It's a fun way to add school to our travel time.

Love this CD! Well worth the money because my daughter has learned all the poems and stories and lists on here by heart just from listening to this at bedtime! Thank you Susan for offering this to us!
