Evening Primrose Supplement from Cold Pressed Oil - Softgels for Women’s Health & Skin Health - Gluten Free & Non-GMO GLA - High Potency 1300mg, 120 Count

I'm going to write the review of this product that I wanted to read when I was ordering this. It has to do with WHY I ordered it. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and unless I go into labor on my own, my doctor only wants me to have a scheduled c-section. Frankly, I feel like I'm being bullied into it and I'm trying to avoid it if at all possible. There is no solid medical reason for it. So, step one in the labor process is softening the cervix. The doula and midwife have all recommended EPO for this. Please note that this does NOT begin labor, it does not even cause contractions. It simply prepares your body for that. After getting their okay I first purchased something locally that was very expensive and only came in a liquid form, so I couldn't use it as directed. It will make your head spin to see how many products are out there. Most are marketed with language that "is not supported by the FDA" that list softening the cervix as a purpose or potential use for EPO. This product does not list that, though one of the bullet points lists prostaglandin production as a benefit. Prostaglandin is essential for softening the cervix, your body will naturally produce it as your time approaches. Since I need to show some "progress" towards natural labor I started with this. About this product, for this purpose: -This product is a great quality product that I feel comfortable using and relying on to be consistent in dosage and ingredients -The capsules dissolve completely. I won't get into how they are used (ahem) but they work exactly how I need them to -Though the capsules are large, they are relatively easy to take orally -If you don't want or need to swallow a full capsule then they are very easy to puncture and drain. The oil inside is very consistent and even tastes like the EPO oil I got from the local compounding pharmacy for way too much money -The packaging is a flip-top type bottle so it's easy to use. If you need to childproof it you will need a different bottle on hand Now, if you're reading this because you are in the same boat as I am, you want to know if it works. Well, yes, apparently it does. I really do not know if the effect was incidental to timing or to the use of this product, but I went from 0% and hard to 50% effaced and 1cm in less than 5 days. The first 24 hours of use produced some very mild, low cramping sensations but that was it. Depending on how you are taking them you need to start with a single dose and monitor yourself for any side effects. If you have any GI issues, feel nauseated, get headaches, or become dehydrated from the GI issues you are taking too much. This is a high dosage for this purpose, if you're at all concerned you need to order a lower dose. I do plan to continue to take it after this baby is born (though not right away) because it has some other purposes that I was looking for anyway. This is basically all I'm doing to try and encourage things to take the next step, other than the usual walking and whatnot. I'm very pleased that it seems to have worked as efficiently as it has. My doctor was mildly surprised to see progress and we are now looking at this birth as a trial of labor instead of scheduled c-section. That was exactly what I had as my goal and it's been achieved. Again, I don't know that I could say with 100% authority that this product is entirely the reason for it but all the evidence points to it. Talk to your medical professionals that are willing to discuss the use of alternative products and make sure this is a safe use for this product, and if so then I definitely recommend this company and product specifically.

OK so I have one HUGE regret with this product. THAT I DIDNT START TAKING THIS 5 YEARS AGO!!! Why can’t this product come with a time machine where I can transport myself back in time and save myself so much misery and woe and let me frickin enjoy life!! After two-three months of taking this, my hormonal acne that ALWAYS appeared around my period since starting birth control... suddenly just STOPPED coming. The reviews for this product rang true and I nearly climbed to the top of my apartment building to shout to the world that I FINALLY FOUND A REAL, INEXPENSIVE AND HEALTHY SOLUTION FOR MY STUPID ACNE!!! I don’t even have to focus on the healing of acne SINCE IT DOESNT EVEN REAR ITS UGLY HEAD ANYMORE AT ALL. Old acne spots are healing and whenever I do have any small bumps anywhere (which is rare), I can use this stuff topically and it works it’s magic YET AGAIN. It also helps a lot with my moodiness and anxiety that my birth control always made worse. AND helps SIGNIFICANTLY with period cramps, to the point where I don’t even really have them anymore. Cherry on top anyone?? I didn’t change my diet. I didn’t use different makeup. I didn’t drink tons more water (which is always good for you but hard to do). THIS WAS ALL I CHANGED. Now my main concern is how to let everyone in the world know that this wonderful thing exists. I’d like to order a bathtub full of this stuff, please. A semi-truck load works too. ITS A LIFESAVER DONT THINK JUST BUYYYYYY (and be patient because your body needs at least 2 months to make a real difference. Rome wasn’t built in a day, you’ll be fine girl YOU GOT THIS)

Fabulous product! Clean ingredients. Love the results. My skin is softer soft from taking this capsule.have taken for years but this is the best I have taken so far.great quality.

I’ve been taking this Evening Primrose Oil for a little while and it seems to help with overall balance and wellness. The softgels are easy to swallow and don’t have any unpleasant aftertaste. I also like that it’s gluten-free and non-GMO, which makes it feel like a cleaner product compared to some others.

I’m 42 and just started having skin issues for the first time starting at age 40. I’ve been taking this only a week for my hormonal acne, and already I notice: no new breakouts! I feel like my sleep & energy levels may be improved as well, but plan to update my review after a month or so to share the progress with my skin, because that is my main reason for trying it.

God answered my prayers when he showed these to me! I only wish I would have discovered these five years ago. I have been going through perimenopause and my hormones have been causing me a lot of problems at work and at home. I had terrible mood swings, bad road rage and noises were getting on my nerves to the point where I know my coworkers thought I was crazy. I had turned into a mean irritable person to the point where I couldn't stand myself. I want to say this is the first review I have ever wrote. I have bought hundreds of items over the years online and have never wrote a review. While I rely on the reviews to give me insight before I buy something I feel it necessary to let everyone who reads this know how much these have helped me. I received my first bottle on March 8, 2018 but wanted to wait until I had blood work done by our nurse at work before I started taking them. I am 50 years old and my blood work definitely showed that I was in menopause. Although I got my results from the blood work on March 13, 2018 I had a GYN appointment on March 22, 2018 and was going to wait until after my appointment to start taking the Evening Primrose. Well all I can say is I had a strong feeling (from God) to go on Amazon and read some of the reviews that morning before my appointment that afternoon. After I read about 20 reviews I decided to take one of the pills before going to work. After taking that one pill that morning before work, I can honestly say that I have not gotten mad, been irritable, had road rage and noises have not gotten on my nerves since that first pill! As of today I have only been taking them 11 days, taking two pills a day, 1 in the morning and 1 at night. I am calling them my MIRACLE pills. This is the GODS honest truth. I almost died from choking on these twice! I have to squeeze the oil out. Very large size. Be careful.
