Heart wrenching and beautiful
I always loved his voice when he worked with Audiosalve, Soundgarden or any band he played but I never bought the albums because I didn't like all the songs on those albums, it was just his voice. So I took a chance on this Higher Truth c.d. and I listen constantly, mesmerized by his voice and the lyrics. His talent for writing , his soul, his heart and of course hearing that dynamic voice make me realize what a tender heart and soul he had. He is so missed. Just listen , please.

Swept off my feet.
Being a fan of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of The Dog I love Chris Cornell's work. I had seen that Chris had made a few solo CD's after the break-ups of Soundgarden and Audioslave, so I decided to start with the first one. "Euphoria Morning" is my all-time favorite CD and I've owned it for 2 weeks! EVERY song is good! I am not planning on buying his other CD's but they are worth a listen, but Euphoria Morning is worth owning. I strongly recommend buying it.

This is a nice soft album from Chris Cornell
This is a nice soft album from Chris Cornell. You won't mistake this album for anything by Soundgarden, but if you want to listen to a softer, more genuinely sincere sound from Cornell, then you might like this record. It's much better record than his album "Scream" which he put out a couple of years ago.

This once would be on my Desert Island list
I've been listening to this CD non-stop since it came. I love Soundgarden and Audioslave, and this is my favorite of Cornell's solo CDs. If you think you're impressed by those four-octave pipes, BUY THIS NOW.

Wanted to Like
I seriously wanted to like this album since I have always liked his voice, but I just could not get into this album. Didn't grow on me even after repeated listening. Fortunately I bought "Higher Truth" as the same time. A much superior album. Each listen I like it better. This album slightly diminished my opinion of Cornell's work. "Higher Truth" restored it.

What can I say...this is an absolute classic! I first really discovered Chris through Audioslave and I am at a complete loss that I have not found this CD sooner. Perhaps it is it's apparent 'failing' (from reading some of the reviews)that is to blame for it slipping through my normally very vigilant net. The quality of the songwriting is first class, the vocals are superb as always and all in all this is a timeless album that deserves to be appreciated by generations to come. It is different from Audioslave (who just rock, by the way), very chilled and melodic and while drawing from a wide range of familiar musical influences, Chris has produced an unique sound that only a truely talented musical craftsman can. The highlights for me are Can't Change Me, Flutter Girl, Preaching the End of The World, When I'm Down, Disappearing One and Pillow of Your Bones, but in all honesty all the tracks have a little something that leave you wanting more. In my eyes Chris is up there with the most influential songwriters of the 20th/21st century and I await the release of his next solo offering (rumoured to be early 2007)with sheer desperation. 'Euphoria Morning' is totally gorgeous.
