These PeaNot Butter cups look like peanut butter cups with the same shape, chocolate outside and a nutty tasty filling inside. But these don’t have any nut, dairy, soy or egg. I’ve been buying these PeaNot Butter cups for my son for many years as he grew up very allergic to nut, dairy and eggs. So I’ve always turned to this company for sweets for holidays and special occasions. He’s still allergic to nuts and has never tasted a real peanut butter cup, so he has nothing to compare it to. But he loves these cups. They have a dairy free chocolate outside that’s good but harder than a creamy milk chocolate, and the filling is thick but soft and made from sunflower seed butter with a nutty taste.While these don’t taste exactly the same as peanut butter cups, it’s amazing how much they mimic them given the lack of nuts, dairy and other allergens. I’ve eaten both and personally enjoy these more as they taste less sickening sweet to me. These taste enough the same that I feel my son has a pretty good idea of what a peanut butter cup tastes like. And his girlfriend covets real peanut butter cups, but even she thinks these taste so similar that she’s happy to eat these due to my son’s allergies. These are the large size cups and are rich and satisfying. I slightly prefer the small PeaNot cups and buy those too as the filling in these is rich and it’s easy to get too full on the big size. But these are really tasty and a great substitute for real peanut butter cups. Vegan. Love it. 5 stars.

Yes; my child has have food allergies. However, I will have to say that these cups are DELICIOUS! I have had both; those made with peanut butter and now this option. Personally, I PREFER the SUNFLOWER filled cups. They taste so much better and do not leave the after taste that peanut butter does. I am switching for not only my food allergic child, but for myself as well. Give them a try and taste the difference!

I’m gonna just be blunt, me and my family all thought they’re gross. Nowhere near a nut of any kind taste. And my son and I who have peanut allergies ended up having to us our epi pens. So even though they claim to be peanut free there must have been cross contamination somehow.

The chocolate is pretty decent chocolate. That being said, it is harder than what you find in a Reese's peanut butter cup. The inside is where I take off a star. The texture is too sticky and the taste is seedy (sunflower seeds, I know). Not a bad snack but nothing amazing either.

The taste isn't bad, but you can't expect it to taste like peanut butter cups because it's not. These are a nice treat 2 give out occasionally. I find that they're fairly expensive compared to other products of similar type.

My son has had these many times and loved them .. when i ordered the larger box on amazon they were apparently defective.. I noticed only one pack was gone out of the box .. he said they were bad.. so i opened one and the middle of the cups is “soggy” like all the chocolate coating wasn’t there.. and he won’t eat them... he didn’t want to tell me since all his allergy free candy is so expensive and not now I have passed the window for returning 😔

Don’t have to worry about looking at all the ingredients for nut allergy problems
