I've had strikemaster gas jiffy propane and my brother has the new strikemaster electric and by far I think this is the best hands down. I charged it fully and took it out several times at about 1500 plus inches later the battery had finally died out! I have about 7 inches here in southern Michigan. On the review on the clogging up on the bottom. Yes it will like any other auger when it's below zero. I guarantee this is why. Mine did the first time this past weekend with below weather. Normal for my past 25 years of ice fishing. I would recommend this to anyone looking for light weight, quiet and quick fishing with no worries. Also the reverse in cold weather when in the water will help kick off slush on those cold days and won't have as much issue!
