I wanted a small tamper to use in a tall Lock N Lock container that I keep egg shells in prior to grinding them to powder to use in my garden or vermicompost bins. I wanted something that was small enough to tamp them inside the tall, but narrow container, but wouldn't rust or break. I tried using a wooden spoon, but it was too narrow and didn't do that good of a job. This works perfect; plus I can hang it on the container when I'm finished.
