(Rookie Toddler) Review: Wonderful for any toddler or baby - Great for young children because it has photographs of real children making faces expressing different simple emotions. The faces are very distinct and clear, easy for kids to identify. Review: Great book for little kids - Absolutely love this board book! My one year-old really enjoys looking at faces, especially of other kids. He tries to mimic the expressions. I like that the book is a little bigger for a board book and that the faces take up the whole page. It’s a great book would definitely recommend.

Favorite book of my 1-year old
It is well known that babies love to look at books with real pictures of other babies. This book is great! Has sturdy pages that my baby can turn alone and she loves to imitate the "silly face". Her favorite is the surprise face and she keeps giving kisses to the babies. It is a big hit!

Great Book On Expressions!!!
This is a wonderful way to get your little ones on to expressions!!! Right now this isn’t my sons favorite book but I’m definitely keeping it around in our library. The children are from different backgrounds which is wonderful, and all of the emotions are covered. I think it’s a must have for toddlers!!! And the book is lightweight, not heavy at all.

Super cute, diverse book!
I love the diversity in this book and it's very simple, but cute! Each page is just asking that a child mimic an expression, it's for a younger age group but I really like it for my autistic 6 year old.

Great book choice for the littlest readers
Babies seem to love looking at other babies in real life as well as in books and my granddaughter is no different. This book was purchased because she has shown a clear preference for those books in her collection that clearly feature real life faces. Good book to use in helping the youngest ones develop an understanding of basic emotions. The title implies that all faces will be displaying “happy” but there are a variety of emotions included. Like most books of this type, I wonder why the photographers didn’t take the time to find more clear representations of some of those feelings; most are good, but there are some that just aren’t as clear as little ones may need. The book is sturdily constructed.

Teaches important lessons
We noticed our 2yr old granddaughter would get upset if someone made a different face than the normal smiling or neutral face. This book has helped her so much, and it was quick. She looks at the faces and we talk about them, and ask her can you make.... Etc. It's helped a lot for her understanding that people make lots of different faces, and it's all good.

Love the real pictures
This book taught my 1.5 yo how to make a happy face, a silly face and a surprised face. Hilarious to watch! I will say the sleepy and shy faces don't make much sense, but the toddler doesn't care

A mi bebé le gustó mucho el libro porque así puede identificar fácilmente las emociones, además de aprender los nombres en inglés y un plus es que el libro es de pasta dura difícil de romper

My 2yo enjoys looking at the different emotions shown in this book and together we try to copy the faces. I feel it’s very good for helping young children understand emotions. Good diversity amongst the children used in the book.

This is a very simple book and is a great tool to help teach my son different emotions. I think he’s still too young to make the different expressions himself but he’s able to point to “the baby who is sad” or “sleepy” etc. especially with the last page showing all of them together. The “grumpy” baby doesn’t look too grumpy but I guess it’s the closest they could get without it looking like another “mad” face.
