This has been a great addition to the boat. Especially when on anchor in the Columbia River. I used to use the Mr Heater but kept melting everything- bibs rubber boots long hair lol. That actually wasn’t funny - this works much better and we haven’t melted anything with it yet

Great for garage, patio, game nights. This thing puts out good heat I like the fact that it’s lower to the ground because heat rises and my feet are the first to get cold

Worked great for about 6 weeks. The burner does not stay lit. Clicks & ignites but will not stay lit once the pushes back out. At 3am, discovering this malfunction really ticked me off. Had to purchase a higher output unit for more money after i got out of work. Dueing the time I was working my jet pump froze. Thankfully i was able to get the room (basement) warmed back up in time to save the pipes and the pump. Not a happy customer.

I'm using the 25,000 BTU model with a 20 pound tank in my two car garage. Only one wall is insulated. The past few days, it's only been about 6 degrees for the high, so I've been running it on high. It keeps the garage at around 45-50 degrees. I'm using a fan to move the air, otherwise I end up with a very warm spot where the heater is, with the rest of the garage very cold. At full power, it's fairly loud, but not overpowering. I have the garage door closed, but there are air leaks between the panels and on the side of the door. I have a CO detector in the garage and it has not registered above 0 yet. I run the heater for a couple of hours at full blast, then turn it down below halfway to maintain the temperature. Our outdoor temperatures this time of year are typically in the high 20s or low 30s, so this unit is appropriate, I think. If we had single digit temps all winter, like we're having now, I would have opted for the next higher unit. This one came fully assembled, other than the hose, so setup was quick and easy. It started on the first try. Obviously the surfaces get very hot, so use care in where you place it and keep an eye on your kids and pets.

Xmas for my father in law and he said it great for him work in garage. Its keep him warm while working on his pick up truck.

EDIT: I am upgrading my review from one to three stars since hearing back from the vendor. A return label has been sent and a refund will be given upon return of the heater. In less than a month, the igniter will not stay lit when we go to increase heat. We've looked up the issue and the fixes don't fix the issue. And quite frankly, your product should not fail in under a month. And then the fact that we cannot return it and get a refund is a slap in the face. Don't buy unless you expect to never have issues.

Used once so far so good. Heated my one-car garage from 40F to 60F in about 15 minutes, while the 20lb tank sat outside in about 30F. I provided some ventilation as suggested, and I run a CO monitor in there anyway and it did not detect any. The unit is no louder than you would expect from its action, even on high. I preferred high because the flame was almost all blue compared with the mostly yellow of low - I think that may be a slightly cleaner burn. I think the main thing to consider, especially for first timers, is radiant vs. convection. I was replacing a failed tank-top radiant style, and I did very much like the "heat-from-a-distance" of radiant while I worked in my cold garage. With this unit you are basically heating the air in the garage with very hot propane fumes, and to a much lesser extent being a hot radiating object. In other words, with the basic tank-top style you can target the heat toward yourself and accomplish the purpose even if the ambient is not so warm. That also works well outside, just to get some radiating relief or warm your hands. I suppose one could simply buy both, and I might just do that but meanwhile I am very satisfied with this convection heater for my garage workshop. The quality seems good, and it will hopefully last for many winters. One small complaint is that the top circular piece has a fairly sharp edge. Handle it carefully when unpacking, setting up, or storing. At the present price of about $55 I think it is a very good value, and with Prime it was in my hands in two days, free shipping.
