A Timeless Volume With The Power To Move And Enlighten You
A highlight of the huge Western Spirituality series. This volume since it was first written has achieved a universality way beyond its original (intended) limited audience due to it's clear earthy style, its lofty ideas and it's concrete application compared to other books of this type. To this day its original author remains anonymous; his or her name lost in the mists of time or in some dusty archive somewhere- but the words and concepts here are timeless and as moving today as when they were first written. A must read for anyone interested in spiritual matters.Another volume collecting other works that many scholars feel is by the same author has since been published in the Western Spirituality series that really compliments this one.

Mysticism Done Well
While written primarily for the sacred, cloistered life, this volume offers clear--for Medieval--and tried methods for contacting God, or at least striving to contact Hi, -through what Anonymous calls the "Cloud of Unknowing." A great lover of mysticism, I found the work elucidating, practical, and helpful. I wallowed in it with great spiritual abandon. I highly recommend this volume to any introspective Christian.

Christian Mysticism
This book is an essential primer in the quest for God by Man! Christian Mysticism in past years has been very much misunderstood. It is time we rediscovered the treasures which have lain unseen but for a few for centuries. For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear this book is worth the reading, personal application and prominence in a library dedicated to the pursuit of God. The Cloud of Unknowing
Again, I seem to be purchasing books that seem to have the answers that I am looking for. This book is great except I can't understand all the topics. Maybe another time through the book will help. The quick handling and great condition the book was in at arrival time was good.

Nice
This book is a very friendly book, it is very readable, it does not demand a familiar knowledge of Neoplatonism to be understood. If you are interested in reading some medieval mysticism but don't know much about the backdrop that medieval mysticism was built on then I suggest this book: it is an easy and friendly book.

Wonderful
Just as all the books in this series this is an excellent translation of the text. I particularly appreciated the preface by Simon Tugwell who provided a wonderful overview and introduction to text.
