NRS Healthcare L17516 Overbed/Chair Table - Adjustable, Tilting & WheeledSold by: Amazon EU S.a.r.L.Eligible for return until 25 Apr 2020£31.45ok let's begin.sold by Amazon - so there is NO downside with the supplier. if there are any probs, money back with no hassle.delivery - again Amazon so no problem.Sorry if this sounds like a promo for Amazon but if i'm spending over £10 i want re-assurance.i'm drinking coffee as i write this. relevant later.package was sturdy and undamaged.what follows is by no means a tutorial. it's just what i did and if anything what i learned that i can pass on.i examined the package and found that the flaps that open were along the narrow edges. and sealed all along with sellotape. (or something like it). I used a pointy thing to pierce the tape and slit all along. (you can use what you normally use - a knife, scissors key etc.)when i opened the flaps i tried lifting the contents out gently ( i'm always gentle with packed goods). when i found that that didn't work, i reasoned that this is hard goods and would not be easily damaged and I was working on carpet, so i literally "rolled" the entire box over until the open slot was floorside down. It really wasn't difficult. I'm not strong so this is important. it wasn't difficult. then gripping the outer box i just lifted it gently until the contents were nearly free. at this point i was able to hold the box with one hand and steady the contents with the other to avoid it falling everywhere. there were no polystyrene bits BUT the contents were well protected with strategically placed protection. if you were really concerned about getting at the contents you could lay it flat on the floor and cut an entire panel out - i'd argue this might be arder because the cardboard box was quite thick and you'd need some strength and good scissors or a knife to cut it.At this point i carefully seperated all the components. in mine there were: the table top, the legs base, two tubes to go in to the table base. that was it. the tubes attached to the table top are just laid flat against the top. THAT was it. i took off the strategically placed protection and everything was ready to go.the two chrome looking steel tubes with had twist screws on go in to the locating points on the base. BEFORE you put these in two things. one the locating points each have two holes opposite each other and these have a pin that go through them. this pin is part of a little plastic collar that goes round the locating tubes these are easy to get off. just press the little bit of pin (i say pin but its a 1/4 inch tick - about 5mm) this pushes the collar out enough grip with the fingers and finish pulling it out. You have to do this otherwise the 'legs' wont go in.the second consideration is now. The hand twist screws (that will eventually lock the table position) will either face towards the out side of the back edge of the table or to the inside under the table. I figure that it would be less distance to reach to tighten or loosen them if the faced away from the base unit poles. (as i type this i think this is the best as i can just reach under and adjust as required). So to recap this put the table legs in to the holes and twist the to face along the base unit or to the back. you'll know when they are right because these legs have holes in them to line up with the holes in the location tubes on the base. Why? because when you line the holes up you can 'pop' the collar/pins back in. This will avoid the base staying on the floor if you were to lift the table. SAFETY. So point the screw handles to the back line up the holes at the bottom and pop the collar-pins back in.Nearly done. NOW VERY IMPORTANT. unscrew the hand screw handles whils looking down in to the now sticking up legs you need to make very sure that the screws come well out so the the table legs can drop down in easily. They need to come out enough to clear the inside of the tube but i chose to not take them all the way out incase they were hard to get back in. final point here is make sure the brakes are off on the castors. I dislike bending all the way down so did this while they were easy to get at nad iw on the floor anyway.Now lay the table top side down and raise the legs (folded flat for delivery). OR lift the table top at the leg end resting the other edge on the floor and the un fold the legs. now lift the table top up and locate the table legs into the base upright legs and slowly lower. all the way down. NOW you can see why it was important to unscrew the hand screw grips. when the table is all the way down. now you can raise the table top to roughly the height required and tighten the hand grip screws.you can now wheel the table to where you want it. to adjust the height / angle of the table top simply unscrew the hand screw grips and raise the table as required. then tighten. Job done.Good points. the table has runners along the long edges to stop stuff rolling off.possible bad point. you cant remove them if you want the whole top the same level. also reduces the useable surface area.there are no runners along the sort edges. possible good because when you wipe it off you can sweep it of the narrow edges. nothing can ldgoed on the table. possible bad point perhaps stuff can roll off the narrow ends. Note this is especially relevant if dealing with elderly/ bed ridden/infirm etc because if the spill liquid it can/will spill of the narrow edges. IF this important there are variations of this table with all round ridges. OR if you know somebody handy you glue a piece of dowel along the narrow edges. or if really lazy and dont care about looks etc. you could squeeze a bead of silicone sealer along them.also related to the table top. mine is a sort of Beech colour. (colour with a u is correct Amazon). it seems like some sort of solid wood but is in all reality some sort of reconstituted fibre board. either way it's good and reasonably sturdy. the 'finish' is some sort of venere or laminate. this gives a sort of shiny 'gloss' finish. Actually looks pretty good right now. what it will look like if subjected to spray cleaners etc couldnt say but at the moment I have high hopes. id looks like a 'decent' finish.the frame. reasonable gauge steel, well finished. NO production burrs to snag or catch on. there are caps on the end of the tubes on the base. i.e. no chance of anything being inside the tubing.the castors. only two have brakes. not much of an issue for me, but might be important to some. having said that the brakes do lock the wheels solidly and with small pressure the table will not move in any direction. however if you are strong enough you could still move the table with the wheels locked.rigidity. the table does feel quite strong BUT I'm guessing there are limits. THIS IS IN NO WAY AS STRONG AS A HOSPITAL TABLE. Those babies are magnificent. BUT they have a magnificent price tag.I'd say this is the REASONABLE option. ny cheaper and the thing would be too flimsy to trust. This I'd trust with reasonable use. Certainly fine for eating off (you may want to use some sort of stay put place mat - i find a good mouse mat is ideal) drinks? well open topped cups my slosh over the sides (this is no where near as heavy as the hospital tables - i couldn't lift those suckers but i can lift this one). So whilst it is rigid and strong is have to dock it some points for stability.However, all that said, it depends what you want it for, who is using it and how much you are prepared/can afford to pay.IF you are able bodied and grown up (not a lout) and are using for say a laptop and mouse - perfect. if you want to rebuild a car engine on it you are stupid... and a lout.if you want a meal in front of the telly fine - just think about the drinks?if you are doing crafts and such again fine.For me - this is ideal. I'm currently typing on my laptop. - the angle of tilt on the table is in finitely adjustable and mine is just about spot on. there is room for the laptop AND a mouse mat and mouse. Would i trust a mug of tea on it. for me at the moment - yes i would. If the table top was any higher I might say no. This brings me to my last two points.Yes this will be good for the bedridden (or the just plain lazy). However, if your divan (if that is the right word for the base) only has an inch - 25mm of clearance. if you have a frame bed no problem. otherwise I'd say you need 3 inches or 75 mm clearance. (maybe the solution would be to lift the bed on to blocks to raise the clearance?)the last point is really the same and that relates to chairs/sofas etc. Ironically, an office chair with castors might not work so well with this table.And finally as mentioned earlier i did have a cup of coffee o the go but now it is finished.the point i was going to make is that IT TOOK LESS TIME TO ASSEMBLE THE TABLE THAN TO WRITE THIS REVIEW - given the length of it possibly even read it.I summary - I'm really happy with it.ACID TEST: would i buy again/recommend? - YES I WOULD

Useful chairside table as described. Easy to assemble , seems well made and it is stable enough for using for books, drinks and food. Good value for money.

had for 5 years and still going strong. No issues what so ever. Had my pc monitor on mine for over a year and it didn't move when tightened. Great little table

I've been using it as a table in the garden while I'm WFH and it's been great. Only issue is I'd prefer it to have the ability to swing over in front of me but not much of an issue tbh. The wheel lock could be better but still pretty good

Bought for a sick room. Delivery was really quick, even outside of the UK, but this is not unusual for Amazon. Item was really well packaged, with almost all of it able to go into recycling. Extremely easy to put together, you really just have to click a few bits together. On the topic of height, this is the first table that fits over our oversized super king bed with high mattress and low base with ease, and room to spare when sitting on the bed. After taking the wheels off (no problem) it also slides under the bed easily with still enough space after adjusting. The table can also be set at an angle if you wish to have it that way, and the little bits at the top and bottom means whatever you put on it won't slide of. Because it has the stoppers on both sides, it doesn't matter which side of the bed you use the table. We now use it for a laptop table and it is sturdy and big enough to hold my 15'' laptop and mouse easily. I am so happy with it that I bought another.

I don't have a very large flat so don't own a table of any sort. I ordered this as I was required to work from home on a laptop. So after my thighs suffering from rather red patches from the heat of the machine decided that I could benefit from a small table. Saw this and though I would give it a go. Well its been a life or should I say thigh saver. I can sit on the sofa wheel this over my lap and work away. I have it with the legs facing towards me and wheeling under the sofa as Its for me working and if I have it the other way round its a bit high for typing. Although I have had it the other way round but then sit slightly forward to work. Its obviously not meant for this purpose but its worked for me and I can easily take it apart for storage when I'm back at the office and use it for. Easy to assemble no screwdriver just slot together Fantastic!

A good product. Stable and able to adjust height and angle. Has a convenient raised border to help prevent items sliding off. Looks good. Easy to move because of wheeled base.Can be a bit fiddly to assemble and adjust but not a real problem. Been of great assistance to elderly relative .

Sadly, this table is jusT not fit for purpose. We tightened the screw fittings as hard as we could, but table top kept sagging and or/ tilting. You couldn't even put a book on it before it dropped on one side! (Thank heavens we didn't try a hot drink on it..) The table looks the part and the top was very good quality, the castors were a bit flimsy, but they worked and everything was easy to put together - but it was not usable in any practical way! It seems the major design flaw is that the screw fittings don't actually screw INTO anything - as you tighten them they just "meet" the steel poles. If the steel poles had holes in them eg like a height adjustable walkling stick or walking frame, the problem would be solved as they would lock together properly - this would then prevent unwanted slipping. (Incidentally, Lord help any elderly or frail person trying to tighten the screw fittings - we really had to heave to do our best to try and secure the table top - and still failed.)

Hab den Tisch bestellt, da er mir mit den zwei Streben stabiler schien als die anderen Modelle, die nur eine Mittelstrebe haben. Beim Zusammenbau hatte ich erst etwas Bedenken, da es sich am Fuß und bei der Tischplatte um reine Steckverbindungen handelt, war aber unbegründet. Der Tisch ist als Betttisch mit verriegelten Rollen erstaunlich standsicher und durch die unterschiedliche Höhenverstellung der beiden Streben vielseitig verwendbar. Die Rollen sind leichtgängig. Über Haltbarkeit kann ich nichts sagen, da ich das Produkt erst seit 4 Wochen benutze.

Practica. Muy correcta para el bajo precio. Regulable pero estable. Facil de montar. Ruedas y pomos grandes, bueno para regulaciones.

Mon mari devant se faire opéré, j'ai acheté cette table pour sa convalescence.Pratique pour prendre ses repas au lit, poser son telephone, son PC, ses medicaments. Il a tout a porté de main.Maintenant qu'il est retabli, cette table nous sert d'appoint pour le salon, pour l'apero sur le canapé, ou bien en table supplementaire quand nous recevons beaucoup de monde.

Ho comprato il vassoio per usarlo con una persona anziana allettata. Il piano è in formica lucida di buona qualità sufficientemente spessa e bordato per evitare cadute. Ha ruote che scorrono bene sul pavimento, si può abbassare ed alzare con facilità; entra bene sotto il letto (di quelli ospedalieri). Pensavo, quando l'ho ordinato, che fosse più scadente, visto il prezzo più basso di altri, invece ha svolto la sua funzione egregiamente. L'unica pecca è che è leggermente corto nel senso che se una persona deve mangiare a letto il vassoio non copre tutta la larghezza del letto. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
