I ordered this product more out of curiosity than anything else. I am 68 years old and have minor age-related back, shoulder and neck issues. I do yoga several times a week and wondered if this would help. I waited several weeks before submitting a review. The product is well made and works well. Since I have shoulder and neck issues I like that it came with a neck pillow so that I can work on that area. It takes a little getting used to at first, but I do like using it. I try to use it for 20 minutes once a day, often as the cool down after my yoga. I find it works best with direct skin contact. At first it is uncomfortable but it does not take long to adjust to it. I ask my Amazon dot to play relaxing spa music and to set a timer for 20 minutes. I find it to be relaxing. I am still not sure it it helps or not. I am sleeping longer at night without waking up which may be due to feeling better from use of the mat. I recently bought a contoured pillow to help with my neck so I am not sure where the credit is due. Perhaps a combination of both. If you are at all interested in trying this type of mat, this is a good product. The price is good and it is well made.

I have a lot of chronic issues surrounding pain, fatigue, and inflammation. (Ehlers-Danlos, Fibromyalgia, Migraines, Arthritis). I was skeptical of this but willing to try this instead of another medication change. The first 3-4 mins myself (and my family/friends who tried it) end up rapidly breathing, stiffening up, and feeling like this is a bad idea, lol. I won’t lie; the first few mins (less than 5) hurt pretty bad. I have to be listening to something or watching something to keep my mind off of the discomfort and work on relaxing INTO the spikes. Then suddenly the pain stops, it gets much more comfortable, and I’ve fallen asleep while on it! (So has my family who’ve tried it). It really works on those “trigger spots”. Right now I can do 20-25 mins on it, and then I take a warm shower and go to bed. I am sleeping through the night or only waking up once now (instead of waking up 5+ times due to pain). I’m getting less muscle cramps in my neck and back since I started using it. I won’t lie- the beginning hurts and getting OFF the spikes hurts after you’ve been on it for awhile. But the consistent results I’m getting is worth it. Came in a nice draw-string bag with a carrying strap. Also came with a very nice, heavy-duty hot/cold pack. I also want to clarify that I bought this myself with my own money; I was not given this or reimbursed in any way. I was not asked to make a review, but I wanted to because I have been genuinely satisfied with my purchase. I hope this helps someone out there who may be on the fence of purchasing.

Excellent. The storage case was a great touch. The only thing was it was slightly too firm,(especially the pillow) which I thought I would love, but it was a bit much to get used to at first. So relaxing after laying on it for a while. It helps me feel better when my back has been hurting, and it helps me fall asleep when I'm struggling to.

Took a chance on this after reading the reviews. Helps my lower back. If your having back pain give this a try

Game changer. I have tried numerous of products to support my back pain and this by far is one of my favorites. I lay on it for 10-15 minutes a day and noticed a difference very quick. Highly recommend this for pain or tension relief.

I bought this product since I’ve had a bit of a neck problem for years. I’m always looking for something that will help me with neck pain and tension. The first day I wasn’t sure about it but the second and third days I think I felt a definite improvement in my neck’s flexibility. I’m going to keep at it hoping for more improvement with each use.

A bit of background, I have Fibromyalgia, and I am a licensed pharmacy technician. Not exactly a doctor, but I tend to know how the body works, that being said I am extremely skeptical of products like these. However, out of desperation, I decided to give this product a try. Laying on the mat, confuses your body to anticipate it is about to hurt, causing blood to flow to the area, not dissimilar from a topical ibuprofen or hotpack. This alone can provide some pain relief, but thats not where the bulk of the pain relief comes from. In your bodies anticipation to damage, it releases norepinephrine, a fight or flight hormone that works to inhibit pain. That is where the real pain relief seems to be coming from. These things being said, it can be very -exhausting- to use, in the most relaxing way possible, after about 10 minutes i felt absolutely sapped of energy, with good reason- that manner of circulation and norepinephrine release is energy intensive and of course sleep inducive, I would abstain from use before work/driving until you know how your body responds to it. I would also exercise a measure of caution if blood pressure or heart issue's are present in your life, diabetes etc. An entire neck and back controlled inflammation may be difficult on the cardiovascular system- so talk with your doctor. TLDR- it works, for 40$ it's a fine and effective pain relief tool.

So disappointed. Made cheap and didn't help at all!
