I have rented pads from u-haul, and I would say I believe the u haul ones are thicker but the material is hard to clean, whereas these are easy to spot clean and they are of a bit “slippery” material so no lint collection or such.

**Q: Where are these made?**
A: I got the larger size and they are made in China...I am assuming these are made in China as well. Hope this helps!

**Q: Would these be good for deadening the sound for a homemade sound booth?**
A: Actually in some decibel sound tests blankets and towels work better than acoustic foam. Look on YouTube for home made bass traps and you might find the one I saw. I’m actually looking at these for the same reason.

**Q: Where are these made?**
A: Can't recall where they are made but they were pretty decent for moving our antiques.  Not too thick but provided sufficient cushion.

**Q: I'm looking for decent water resistance, enough to dry quickly.  Is the internal padding also polyester, or will it absorb water?**
A: i have never gotten them wet but they seem like they would absorb water

These moving blankets did exactly what I needed them to do. The size is perfect, not too large, but big enough to cover and protect furniture. They have a nice medium thickness: padded enough to prevent scratches and dents, but not so bulky that they get in the way while loading or adjusting items. The construction feels solid and durable. You don’t need anything overly fancy for moving, just something sturdy and dependable, and these fit that description really well. I used them between pieces of furniture in the moving truck to prevent scuffing, and they worked perfectly. We also laid a few on the floors to protect from dragging or dropping items, and they held up great. Even after the move, I’ve kept them for ongoing household use because they’re still in excellent shape. Overall, these were a great value and helped keep our belongings protected throughout the move. I’d absolutely recommend them for anyone preparing for a big move.
