Works great
Allowed me to install two sticks into a Dell R630 rack server, and still working good months later.

Supermicro
Works as advertised. Being super micro, just feel better about the quality / reliability than some of the other cheap cards. Plus this supports a single pcie port in 8x8 configuration to get two separate drives recognized which other cards do not support. I’ve been running it for a few inside a production server and it has great speed (~3k) and no oddities or issue.

Best SuperMicro M.2 Expansion
If you are using a supported SuperMicro Motherboard, this card is amazing. The only difficult part is getting the correct PCIe bus set to 4x4x4x4x bifurcation. You will likely need your motherboard's manual and a little bit of help from SuperMicro's documentation.SM BIOS are notoriously complex beasts -- mine is a dual processor scalable Xeon board and the setting is down 6 levels into the Advanced menu, and I had to know the correct CPU and PCIe lane to configure. I figured that out from looking at the Mobo's physical layout diagram.EDIT: What an absolute beast. I've been running two of these at high temps and heavy (heavy) loads for a couple of years now. Solid.

Workrs.
Works great on my dell r630 for adding M.3 ssd inside the server. It adds 2 ports

Doesn't work on most MBs
If you have a board that supports bifurcation, it might still not work regardless of any settings you choose in BIOS. I tried it on several non-server boards, like Asrock, Asus, MSI, etc. and it will not pick it up where other 2-4x NVME cards do show up.I suspect you need a server board with a specific set of components for it to work, or the jumpers need to be tweaked. I wasn't brave enough to mess with the jumpers, all my MBs are too expensive to risk it on a cheap card.

Simple and effective!!
This card is by far the best bang for the buck for simple bifurcation setup with 2 NVMe drives. Don’t waste your money on one of those 4 NVMe drive adapters, especially if you don’t have the cpu to support all the pcie lanes needed. I do have 44 lanes, and still prefer this card for overall simplicity.Could it look better yeah, but then again it’s not meant for what I’m using it for. So that’s on me, and I’ll figure something out down the line to pretty it up 👍

Needs PCI Express Bifurcation
This card works as long as the PCI Express slot you install it in supports PCI Express Bifurcation (to x4x4). Installing it in an x8 slot without that only connects one of the drives.I looked through the User Manual for this part, at the Supermicro website, and nowhere in that manual is it mentioned that it will only fully work with PCI Express Bifurcation. One star off for that shortcoming.

Well made adapter card
I bought this card after seeing it used on YouTube. BuildorBuy. The m.2 connector is tall enough to put a heatsink on the SSD that wraps around it. When the card arrived, it only came with a short mount bracket. I contacted the seller to see if I could buy the standard height one. The seller promptly responded and said he would send one free of charge. A quality card from a quality seller. I would definitely buy from this seller again!!
