Review: Love it - I love these skewers. I’d previously tried the thin, cheapy ones you can find at the grocery store, and the meat I put on it fell off. These flat skewers are great for koobideh, but also any type of roasting you want to do with smaller meat chunks. I use it to skewer pork for banh mi and it works just as well for it as the ground lamb/beef I mix for koobideh. And I also love that it came with a carrying case. I’m not sure why the case has wooded camo designs on it, but who cares - it’s another great way to keep the skewers together.

**Q: Is the total length exactly 23 inches? How long is the wooden handle?**
A: Total is 23"  handle is 4 3/4.  Blade is 18 1/4.  These are great. I love them. I put big chunks of pork meat on them and they work perfect.

**Q: Is stainless steel 304 or 403 grade?**
A: I think 304

**Q: Are these dishwasher safe?**
A: The stainless steel part would be okay in the dishwasher, but keep in mind the handles are wood.  Although it is hardwood, I've never washed them in my dishwasher.

**Q: Can the skewers be used on a gas grill?**
A: If you use these skewers on a gas grill.  Important that you keep in mind that the skewers are made with wooden handles.  But the skewers are very long allowing the wood handles to hang off the BBQer and not over the fire.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for Turkish kebabs and sword fighting

I love grilling, and I love kebabs. American kebab skewers are really the worst though. One, they are so short you are guaranteed to burn your fingers trying to move them. Second, they are round and it is nearly impossible to rotate your kebab. I needed a real skewer, like the ones I had seen in Turkey last time I visited. These are real skewers. In fact, they are the manliest man man skewers in the market! They are, simply put, huge! They are too long for my Weber grill, and they are way too thick for anything other than big chunks of meat and ground meat style kebabs. I have destroyed many a poor vegetable trying to skewer them on these things. Mushrooms, break right in two! Green peppers snap in half just out of fear of being impaled on these skewers. Onions, well, obviously they just cry :( Good thing real men only eat meat! I miss my vegetables though... In terms of quality, the handles are a little wobbly, and I will not be surprised when I use them for medieval battle that the handle will break off. They are pretty easy to clean. I have no drawer in my kitchen though big enough to handle these Viking swords. If I had a fireplace, I would likely mount them over the hearth. I would absolutely buy these again as they are hilariously gigantic. I can't say they are as useful as I wanted them to be.
