Very beautiful journal. I’m using it as a sketch book and the leather is of good quality and smells great.The paper is good for sketching and penning. I wouldn’t recommend using paints or alcohol markers on this paper though since the weight isn’t strong enough to resist the liquids and they would just eat away and tear at the paper and bleed through.Otherwise, beautiful craftsmanship.

Very nice quality! I love the overall look and feel of this journal, and I like that I will be able to add pages to it as needed. I was surprised by the size-it was smaller than I expected- but I didn't look at the dimensions before purchasing. Even still, I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend it for anyone looking for a small but thick journal, sketchbook, or diary.

I bought this a while ago and forgot to review it. It’s wonderful. Such a perfect book. Tons of pages. Very sturdy. I love the material. It holds up very nicely. Great for any use.

It came wrapped very simply in clear plastic. Wish they would have wrapped it differently. Wrap it yourself if you want to buy it as a gift. Otherwise, it's great.

This journal is so beautiful. It has a great leather smell and feel to it. The pages have a nice texture that is easy to write on but still a pressed paper feel.

To be truthful, I had meant to get a lined journal to complete my husbands’ outfitting after his briefcase was stolen. By a happy accident it turned out to be a sketchbook. Every now and then you get to give yourself a present.It’s very pretty. The leather is a bit thin but it’s also quite supple. We’ll see how it holds up.It’s a handy size for a sketch journal. Plus I don’t feel like I’m working when I use it, which is nice.On the less positive side: I really wish there was someplace to keep a pencil or pen. And the strap is an awkward length. If you wrap it around once it’s way too long. It you wrap it twice there isn’t enough left to make a knot, so it doesn’t hold very well.Then there’s the enormous caveat. It’s not refillable. It’s my fault. I looked at altogether too many and flat chose the wrong one. You can get one at least as nice, often with more features (like pen or pencil holders, page markers, etc) for the same price that are also refillable. This one is not refillable.End result being I’m awfully glad it ended up with me. A person should have to suffer her own mistakes. Really, why go to all the trouble of making a nice durable cover that you can only use once? This fact is so annoying to me personally that I had to come back to edit this posting to point out this design flaw. I can’t think of it as anything else. And I’m hoping to save someone the same pain.Final vote, the execution is most definitely not what it should be. I’ll be shopping much sooner than planned.I hope this is helpful to someone.
