Adapter
Both shower thread at the wall and the extension arm are male. We had to look for the 2-end female thread shower coupling. We got lucky the shower head we purchased separately dìd come with the 2-end female threaded adapter and thread seal tape, otherwise we had to spend more money and time to look for the right adapter!

DON'T REMOVE THE INSERT
The product performs as advertised but not that much improvement over the rigid shower arm. Before I installed the flexible shower arm, I removed the lining insert because I thought it was a water-saving device. When I tried to test the new installation, water blew all over! Turns out the flexible feature is not waterproof - it needed the internal hose. My bad. I was going to order a second flexible shower arm, but I came to realize that the flex part didn't bend 90 degrees - more like 50 degrees which roughly compared to the bend in the rigid shower arm with no water restrictions. I decided to keep the rigid shower arm.

More water from leaks than from shower head
These kind of shower arms are really hard to find, and I wanted this one to work so badly that I thought I could maneuver around the substantial leaks that cropped up immediately after I started using it. I mean, in the shower it's not like that water doesn't have somewhere to go. I was willing to trade off some leaking for the wonderful flexibility of this arm. Before long however the leaks became geysers shooting OVER the water curtain and I found myself walking out one day to a squishy-wet bath mat. That's when I knew this thing had to go. It shouldn't have taken me that long, and unfortunately it was only slightly after the return window, which is my fault of course, but there's no getting around the fact that this is a seriously defective product. If the leaks were only in the connections between the arm and the wall or between the arm and the shower head, I might have attributed that to installation, but the most dramatic of them were running all along the length of the arm itself. It makes sense that a flexible metal tube would be susceptible to leaking, so I hope someone finds a more workable solution.

Great option when for shower head when one person is 6'2" and the other is 5'0"
Very quick and easy to install. Love that it is rigid enough to stay exactly where you point the showerhead. You can point it away while you soap up and then use it as a mini wand while rinsing yourself off, pointing it in different directions. I am 6'2" so I installed the plumbing for the shower head high so the shower head was above my head. The problem was when she took a shower the water was hitting her head and face, she would have to stand way back while showering. This inexpensive addition solved all our problems. Comes in handy while cleaning the shower too, by being able to direct the water where ever needed to rinse off the cleaner.

It leaks!
1. Not sure how it is made, but water drips all along the flexible part of the arm, it is still usable as the water is dripping inside the shower.2. It is too short, I would like it to be about twice as long. But that is is what it is, and I couldn't find a longer one. (to short so I can't make a full 'S' to get the shower head much higher or lower)3. Holds it position just fine. .

Shower Extension Solution
I used the plumbing tape & it took quite a bit of turning (with a special wrench) to get it fitted properly on the wall pipe. Then the showerhead needed some extra turns too. However, that said, it's been a fantastic product that has worked (drip-free)! The pipe coming from the wall was so short & I'm short enough that I wanted the showerhead to be down closer to my level. This extension solves that problem & is flexible enough I can move it around a bit. Good value!

We tried all things for a shower arm with a VERY LOW CEILING AND A HIGH SHOWER DRAIN FAUCET. and we didn't have to go behind the wall and retrofit the plumbing. THANKS THANKS THANKS

Genial
My outlets were made for giants so I needed something to lower my shower head. This was the perfect solution. I would have preferred it to be a little harder to bend to hold the angle longer, but it does the job

As advertised. Reasonable price
I have the smallest shower in the world in our office and the standard shower arm was shooting the water out of the shower if the curtain wasn't a perfect seal. This flexible arm was the solution. Installation was easy enough. Rather than using a solid pipe, this gives us options. Also it's handy for cleaning the shower itself.Glad I bought it. Problem solved.
