Swing Arm Wall Lamp Plug-in Cord Industrial Wall Sconce, Bronze and Black Finish,with On/Off Switch, E26 Base,1-Light Bedroom Wall Lights Fixtures,Bedside Reading Lamp

This is a wall unit swag style lamp, which means it is corded and has a switch on the cord to turn on/off. I have several of them, and can say they are easy to install in most walls. They come with everything needed, but if you don't want to drill into the wall, you can screw the bracket by hand into place and then slip on the arm extension. Package: the lamp package has the mounting bracket attached, so when you get it, unscrew the brass type knobs in front, and the silver bracket comes out. This you place against wall, with screw prongs sticking out. I use 2 screws to good it into place but one can use more to suit their taste. Once the bracket is in place and sturdy, place the arm cover over the springs and put the brass knobs back and the hard part is over. Take the lamp shade, and unscrew the gold color plastic around the bulb sprocket. Hold lamp shade in place and screw the plastic back in place. Do this tightly, otherwise the bulb won't go in all the way and the light won't turn on. It's simple to do. The arm may need some 3-in-1 oil to move better but I hardly extend the arm, so I don't use oil. Light: you could use any color light, but I personally use Edison style bulbs in 40 watt warm light. It gives the golden soft light one associates with dens, studies and library's, which is where I have mine. This won't give you adequate light to read exactly, but they will produce a warm ambiance to enjoy while reading or at study. Personally, I like the cozy ambiance. Very relaxing especially on raining or cold days. The ones I bought about 3 years ago are still.going strong. There is no way to really wear on them, as they do the job. The cords are a decent length and with time, straighten out (they come tied together and have bends in them) but can also be hidden behind furniture. The weight of the items are minimal. The bracket is strong enough to hold it to the wall with ease, however, I would recommend softly pulling arm back and forth as needed, so you don't jar the bolts beneath the plate. Some shoppers have complained about getting duds, and I thought this as well with these, but the key to that is making sure the plastic O ring beneath the shade, gets put in as tightly as possible. This will insure the bulb making contact and lighting up. I would recommend the product and will buy again should I need more.

I purchased this lamp after shopping out many different styles of bedside lighting. Ultimately, I choose this light because I liked its overall appearance and its price was much lower than comparable models. I will admit, I found several other similar looking lights more attractive; but was unwilling to spend the big bucks on one. Someday, I will most likely upgrade to a more expensive option; but for now, I think this light should work nicely. And if it lasts, I will definitely move it to another room in my house when I do decide to upgrade. Like other reviewers and the product description says: this light does NOT come with a bulb. This was something I was aware of and didn't think twice about (I had some bulbs on hand) until I installed the light and realized that my "bright white" light bulbs were just too bright for my bedside. So I made a trip to the hardware store and purchased a LED E26 in a softer light. Unfortunately, now I find it a bit too dim for some tasks... I'm happy with my purchase and the light works as intended. For the price, I think the product's quality is good and though mine came with a few scratches, I would purchase this light again if I needed a second. However; I am now regretting I didn't purchase a light with an adjustable head and a dimmer switch. I knew this light was not a dimmable variety but the head being fixed on the adjustable arm was something I didn't think about, until i got it fully mounted to the wall. All in all, I recommend this product; but I would advise a buyer to think about functionality and style.

So I got this to put over my computer desk because in the evening the light in the room isn't quite enough sometimes. I found that it was easy to install, although the directions should be written by a "regular" person instead of whoever wrote it. It does not mention some of the items or what to do with them or how to put them together. However, I am a man and like most men, I do not need/read instructions (usually). I figured it out and installed it (with the cord) in about 15 minutes. I was happy to see that there was extra hardware, especially since I dropped a screw and didn't want to pick it up (someone else will get it). It looks good and works well, It seems quite robust for the price and I am pleased.

These weren't my first choice, but am I excited that they were my ultimate choice. Excellent quality, value for the money and they look amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Refurbished my office and added built-in book shelves. I wanted lights over the shelves for aesthetic and function. I had about 3 different lights in my cart and ultimately chose to get 2 of these. They are perfect. I removed the plug in wiring and hardwired them to the wall (switch) but they do come with a cord that can be plugged in if that is how you choose to use them. They were easy to assemble and looks really high end. I have had several compliments on them already!! If you are hesitant, take it from me, just hit BUY, you will be happy you did!

I wanted something a little more aesthetically pleasing to use as a grow light, and this lamp works perfect! I love the look, although it would look even better hardwired, which isn't something I wanted to do, so it's ok. I do appreciate the switch is located higher up on the cord. Installation was pretty straight forward and easy! Looks really nice!

Perfect little light for reading at night above my bed. Now I need some more of these lights for other places in my home like above artwork. It's very attractive lighting and I plan on getting a couple more of them. It was easy to install. It had directions but I really didn't need them.
