A: Maybe small to medium pans work well, but I have a 12 inch pan I  use a lot and I have had no problems using it, might take a little longer to heat the entire pan but it works well. A: Temp range is about 460 at high on one burner, but lower if you use two burners. When you elevate one burner, the burner goes down in temp.

**Q: will 120v 20 amp circuit work? or 120 v, 30 amp**
A: 1800 watts at 120v is about 15 amps. A 20 amp dedicated circuit should be fine. If you have other stuff on the circuit, you're likely to have problems.
