Our son saw this in a book we have so I was thrilled to easily find it when I searched toy helicopter. It's exactly what I expected. The trigger that makes the propeller spin is easy for me to work, but it'll take a little practice for our three yo. The animals easily picked up. Great rescue helicopter for pretend play!

My daughter loves WOW toys almost as much as her father and I do! We bought her first WOW toy (garbage truck) when she was around 12 months and although she would show sporadic interest in the cars and helicopter that followed it took a little more development on her part until she was truly interested in playing with them. Now at 20 months she loves then and uses the little figures that come with them in and out of the vehicles. The only reason I gave the helicopter a 4 star rating instead of 5 is that it is not as versatile and engaging as some of her other toys that she can push across the ground and hear the satisfying sound they make as the wheels wind up and engage.

First off, I'll admit that I think adults in our home might enjoy this more than our son, who is 13 months old. The mechanism for making the helicopter blades turn seems difficult for small children. That being said, our son enjoys watching us play with it, and he is now learning to make the blades turn when he has the copter upside down. It's a toy I think he'll grown into later, but for now, we really do like playing with it. The animals all have "boo-boos", and magnets on the heads (or the body of the alligator) - there's a magnet on the bottom from of the helicopter, so you can swoosh down and pick up and animal. To drop the animal off in another location, you twos the "searchlight" (the red shiny thing on the side), which retracts the magnet on the helicopter, and drops the animal. During playdates with older kids (around 2 years), they were pretty fascinated by the helicopter, animals, etc. But again, I think the parents ended up playing with this one :)

Cute toy, but the trigger to rotate the propeller broke within a few days of light play. We have the WOW Ernie the Fire Engine and that is a great toy so far and my child loves it. Too bad the helicopter didn't work out.

This was really cute and made quite well but the age on the unit is set way too old. It is not a toy for a 5 year old, let alone a 4 year old. I bought it for my grandson who was two at the time. He was kind of bored with It!

I've purchased several WOW Toys in the past and am usually pleased. My 20 month old son LOVES helicopters these days and so for Easter we got him the Harry Copter Animal Rescue. Actually, his grandparents got him one too and sent it to him in the mail (apparently we need to start double checking who's getting what for him in the future). At any rate, he opened the one from his grandparents and I immediately realized that the trigger that operates the helicopter blades wasn't working. When I pulled the trigger nothing happened. So, I opened the Harry Copter that I had gotten for him, figuring I would return the broken one. The second Harry Copter worked and the trigger caused the helicopter blades to whirl around. My son loved it. Unfortunately after 3 minutes (no exaggeration) of playing with it, the rotor broke and the trigger no longer caused the blades to turn. Which was the same problem with the first helicopter. So two Harry Copter's with the same problem leads me to believe that this is a quality issue and not just a one time freak defect. My son loves the helicopter and he's too young to really realize it's broken, so I'm keeping one of the broken ones and returning the others. This was disappointing. I've contacted WOW Toy's customer service, we'll see if they get back to me.

I have bought several Wow toys for my son, who is 3. He breaks many toys, but not these. I was impressed with this helicopter because I didn't realize it had a magnet on it for picking up the "injured animals." I also like the trigger for rotating the copter blades. We also have the fire engine and dump truck, and they are awesome as well. These toys will really last.

A gift for my grand daughter. It arrived in no time and she likes it a lot. Thanks

En la punta inferior el helicoptero tiene un imán que sirve para recoger a los animales que tiene la parte imantada en la cabeza. El cocodrilo tiene la cola vendada y el león una tirita en una pierna. Son muy graciosos. El acabado de todo es muy liso, no se separa ninguna pieza, es ideal también para los más pequeños. Viene en una caja muy bien presentado con un fondo de dibujos de selva. Yo lo compré por 20 euros. Estoy encantada.

Très bon concept et design, mais l'hélice ne fonctionne pas quand on actionne la gachette, il y a du bruit mais l'hélice ne tourne pas, tŕès déçu par la qualité, mais je n'ai pas envie de priver ma nièce de son cadeau d'anniversaire pour le renvoyer. Dommage ...
