Kensizer 20-Pack Fruit Fly Trap, Yellow Sticky Gnat Traps, 6x8 in

WOW! THIS STUFF WORKS! I bought this for a relative, who had A TON of gnats in their kitchen. They cling to this in less than a day. Now we only see one flying around, compared to at least 50! Even flies get caught on this too!

It’s fairly straightforward. It catches the little flying insects on both sides. Non toxic, rain proof. Just hang it where you need it.

Used these on fruit trees but they failed to stop fruit flies. They caught a lot of little bugs and flies but did not protect the fruit as I had hoped. Not for fruit trees!

Warm weather and an abundance of bananas attracted lots of annoying tiny flies. I cut one piece into several narrower strips. I then exposed one sticky side and wedged both ends of a strip diagonally across a small bunch of bananas. Placed another strip above the neck of a garbage bag. In a few days both strips had caught most of the pests. I waited a few days more, then threw out the bananas, strips, and garbage bag. Exposing just one sticky side made strip disposal easy. Now have plenty left for any future unwanted "guests".

I bought these to replace smaller silhouette/figurines. I could cut the sheets into shapes but chose to use them as is. What I really like is the two ends on both sides. There's a small blank area, about an eighth of an inch, that isn't covered. No more ripping the backing or getting my fingers stuck while trying to remove the backing.

I have no idea why this product isn't a solid 5 stars across the board. It may have something to do with the included sticks but I never use those anyhow. I use the included twist ties and if I run out of those I use the roll that came with my plant support stakes. You can order the same roll by itself on here for 3 bucks. Now it would be nice if this company simply put a 2" or 3" slit on one end of the sticks. However, the sticky traps are so good and cheap, I personally can easily look over that. For outside purposes especially, I don't really care for the sticky traps with the cute designs, that you stick directly in the soil, that you see being sold all over Amazon. With rain it seems like they get more dirt on them than anything else, wasting at least 50" of the sticky surface. They might do ok with indoor house plants, but definitely not exposed outside. That's why I love these! I make sure I hang them at least a couple inches from the soil. I used these last summer also. So this is a repurchase. They were great then and they're great now. I live in Ohio and I moved last February, just a couple miles away, and the ones I had put out the previous June WERE STILL STICKY! Of course I threw them away when I moved because they were loaded with dead bugs, especially fungus gnats. I was hesitant on putting the new ones out when I did yesterday, because I knew storms were going to be rolling in any minute. So right after putting them out it stormed for several hours. Well, as you can see in the picture, the storms didn't mess them up at all. They started catching insects before I could even put another one out and continued to catch them all evening and night, even through the storms! These will be my go to every year! Amazing product with an amazing price! Worth their weight in gold!

So I lived in my home for three years without a single gnat problem other than the occasional one or two that suddenly appear after opening a bottle of red wine (seriously, wtf is up with that and where do they come from that quickly). But keeping lots of fresh produce in the house since incorporating a green smoothie into my diet began the chaos of always having about 3 to 7 gnats living their best life in here AND BITING constantly. It's the biting that gets me. And obviously landing in every food item or drink. That said I tried all the 'traps' with vinegars, sugars, water, dish soap etc. Worked 'well' but nothing ever lured ALL of them. There were still at least two on the loose and biting, which sort of defeated the purpose. These homemade vinegar traps lure more gnats than you ever had from wherever they come from while still leaving like 15% of gnats unbothered and uninterested. Infuriating because you may attract 20 or 30 more to the trap but now the unbothered loose ones have increased to 4 or 5. So, I bought this thinking it would attract the stragglers. They don't seem to have any direct attraction to these mats at all. They seem to just happen to land on them and then obviously can't get up. Not the worst thing; they DO spend a lot of time flying around and landing on everything possible eventually so it does accumulate some but I still found it took several days and vacating the premises of people (a short vacay that was not specifically for gnat disturbances) and eliminating fresh produce (grr, no longterm solution there). So these mats are sort of a happy accident, if you will. Put them in places that you normally see them and they will eventually land on them by chance and get stuck but they don't appear drawn to these specifically in the slightest, which may leave some people frustrated. I'm sure they do wonders in a barn or garage if you have masses of nuisances and any cut into the population is noticeable but when you want ZERO gnats in your actual home after an invasion of them knowing where you are, this may not be perfection, but one of a few options to use simultaneously or possibly nothing will. Until you let them die off or leave for a short period of time because they become uninterested in your space after making it as sterile an environment as possible. That said, these are super sticky and the adhesive makes them a little heavy so they do not stand up super well with the tool provided, as it's pretty flimsy. You also have to strategically tear the wax paper to leave a spot so you don't break the tool every time you want to replace the mat because there's no space for it to not stick to the mat, if that makes sense and you are only provided one tool so you must take care of it. The mats also have like a half centimeter around the edges that are not sticky so I watched gnats land there a couple times and then were able to fly off because they didn't land on the sticky part of it. Annoying. There's no instructions so this will definitely be trial and error with you and your space. Leaving the backing on one side and just laying it on a counter or putting something attractive in the middle of it might work well like people do with those terribly glue traps for mice.

I was surprised. It works very well. Summer always attract flies when I used manure to fertilize my fruit trees. In addition, my m neighbors are terrible in storing their trash. A lot of flies in my front door area. This gnat trap is so helpful.

One pack seems to have lasted forever, but honestly they are terrific. There were so many fruit flies I could not stand them anymore so I put up the paper and the result was wonderful. See above pictures.

Fantastic! Hint: to eliminate the reproductive cycle of flying gnats, trim the sheets (easily done with scissors) and cover the top of the pot(s) --not touching the soil-- to catch the Flyers, but also to catch anything emerging from the dirt. Leave in place until the little buggers are gone!

These work well and stay sticky for quite a long time. I am using them against fungus gnats. They don't eliminate the problem completely on their own (They don't claim that they will), but they've vastly cut down on the number of adults flying around without the use of poison. Now that I've been able to track down a biological control method, I'm going to try using them together. Attaching the sheets to the provided stakes is straightforward, but requires a bit of dexterity, since the sheets will (obviously) try to stick to you. This is a very minor issue, though.

The product arrived quickly and was sealed, which is good as it keeps the glue fresh and sticky. And boy are they ever sticky. Even the tiniest of pests get stuck and stay there. No smell from these traps and they are a great value. Recommend to store in a zip lock to keep them fresh. Highly recommended!
