Fine when it works -- update -- now it doesn't...
Was finally able to complete a firmware update. Now DNLA doesn't lockup the dongle any more (though the screen stays on the last image till a new connect) -- but now miracast stopped working.Bottom line, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.----original review----It gets 'stuck' in certain modes (DLNA for example) even when the sending device is powered off. When this happens, it requires cycling the power to return it to where it will accept a connection from a different device. Also, despite there being an apparent firmware update available, I have been unable to complete the download after a dozen or so attempts -- it just shows percentage complete increasing, and then a fail. I have yet to get over 40% complete before the fail. I was hoping a firmware update would solve the first problem, but no luck there...

Awesome piece of tech that is a must have to screen mirror your phone.
I am simply in love with this product. When I first moved to my new apartment I didn't have any Wi-Fi set up. But I did have a lot of apps already on my phone. Then I purchased one of that. I like to do a cast screen with my phone so that I can watch it on my other TV. The great thing about it is that you don't have to have Wi-Fi, that device can screen your phone to tv too. This is a awesome device and I recommend it to anyone.

Doesn't support NFL Network.
I eventually got it to work but it took some fiddling and bad Chinese to English translation directions. I'm pretty good with stuff like this but could easily see people not as good just giving up. During setup, It seemed I had to disconnect and reconnect it at every step and sometimes it would actually do what it was supposed to but not appear to. It did YouTube, and it seemed other casting devices can't do it. The one thing I really bought it for it can't do, NFL app. I only get one local channel and don't pay for cable etc. When I discovered I could watch all games live for free on their mobile app my next step was to get it showing on my TV since the apps for Amazon TV don't show games live. I got a message saying NFL app doesn't allow casting. I knew I was taking a Gamble and realized that all these devices are identical physically but seems some are more up to date and more advanced. Maybe there will be an update and then it will work??

Did not Work!
So I did some research prior to purchasing this, read some reviews as there are many different brands that promised the same benefits, I went with this rather than a Roku which I already own and works great mainly because this is small and compact, in fact I ordered 2 as I planned to give one as a gift.I opened up the first box, and upon following the instructions it was clear to me that I still needed a USB adapter which I didnt read in many of the reviews and is not really clearly stated in the description, I thought this was just a plug to HDMI and thats all, anyhow I connected the USB cable to the USB port on the TV but it wasnt working, I did have a spare USB adapter so I connected that to the USB cable dongle and then to a wall outlet, that worked but this is where the problems started, I got the "Missmatch Resolution, please change device Resolution" after doing some research I find out my TV is a bit older and only outputs a max of 720P or 1080i cant recall and this device must be compatible with TVs supporting up to 1080i or 1080p I believe, I cant recall which one it was so then I went to my livingroom where I have a newer TV, I made the same connection with the dongle cable etc and I finally got the screen up where all I had to do was Cast to my TV! thought I had it figured out, I first tried the Cast feature on my cell phone but could not get it to mirror or do anything, I then tried to search the IP address on the screen via my WiFi Network options, I was able to see IP address listed on the TV screen, selected it, got as far as to where I could see that it had picked up the connection and was connected but that screen did not change, it didnt mirror my cell phone to the TV monitor and the WiFi connection seemed to be going in and out but still nothing changed, the TV screen stayed the same with the same message on screen. I tried the other device I ordered thinking that maybe I had just maybe got a damaged one but it was the same exact issue with the other, I am returning them for refund

Easy to setup, good image.
I was looking for an easy wireless hdmi receiver and decided to try this one. This unit is USB powered and could be powered by a USB off the TV if it has one. I’m using it to connect to tv’s and projector to practice presentations without running a long cable to my laptop or iPad. Some times I just power it off a battery I use to charge my phone. It’s easy to set up, first join the network shown on the display. Then login to the receiver by typing the IP address in your browser. From there you can have the receiver join a normal WiFi network with the internet. Then any Apple or Android device on the network can display on the TV or projector. I’m not sure about Windows computers. 5 stars for easy of use

Not compatible w Google Home nor easy to use and configure
It shows the Google Chrome logo because, yes, it is only compatible with Chrome. The Google Home app won't recognize this device. My Android phone and Android tablet won't cast to it. I used my tablet to configure the Dongle, but not even YouTube offers the ability to cast from my phone nor tablet. My Google Chromebook has little problem - yes, still not as easy as it should be, but my Chromebook casts easier than my phone or tablet. It took a long time to get it to pair for initial setup, and it required an update which failed the first few tries.

Easy to setup, good image
Easy to setup, good image.I needed a solution to push videos to my computer while in bed to the TV in my room. A normal HDMI cable got in the way because it would run over the floor. I couldn't just keep plugging it in each time because of a tight area so I just stopped using my laptop with my TV.This worked perfectly and the price was better then a cable long enough to run around the room.

Good unit. Installation document needs a lot of work
Like the unit. It works as advertised but the instructions could be better. Very hard to read the little installation booklet. It needs to have larger print. It also assumes Chromecast is available for all equipment. This is not the case especially for a PC. Fortunately miracast works. I have experienced some drops in communication while connected and it takes a little effort to re establish a connection.
