Very nice and affordable!
It's a great solution for your iPad Air 2! If you don't need that expensive natural leather smartcase from apple and you just want some durable yet stylish protection - this one is definitely for you! I got a "Twill Grey" colour option and I love it! The texture on the magnetic cover feels like a really satisfying fabric. It makes my iPad look kind of stylish and I really like the way this is made. The fit of a plastic case on the back is flush (I would even say too flush: It's really hard to get the tablet out since you have inserted it. But I think it's good for protection as it wouldn't jump out of the case if it drops). All the holes in the plastic are precise - all the speakers and ports are freely accessible. As some reviews suggest - you should not clean it with any alcohol. I've never done it, so can't tell if it's true. But for me, a simple wet napkin does the cleaning perfectly. Magnetic connection between the cover and the iPad is not as strong as you would probably like it, probably because there's a tiny gap between the glass and the cover. (although when you roll the cover to create a stand tor a tablet, it sticks like glue) this tiny gap causes another problem - the cover kind of bends towards the center with time and the cover doesn't match the case perfectly around the edges. When I notice that, it really disturbs me. But I gust bend it the other way using my arms and it starts to look perfect again. It happens about one time in a few weeks, but it doesn't feel irritating nor disturbing. For the price you pay - you just don'f feel these little disadvantages. If you need a cool, stylish, and durable case - this is an ideal solution for its price!

Excellent may be an understatement
I ordered this product with a little apprehension at first. I went with my gut and ordered it. First Impressions: The product looks and feels very good quality with a soft poly carbonate back frame that feels extremely robust and not made of cheap plastic. The flapor the cover has a soft rubber/leather feel on it with the udnerside having a vary classy velvety feel which mimmicks the original ipad case from Apple. Pros : Extremely robust. Fits like a glove on the Ipad air 2 no loose ends or gaps when the ipad is placed it. Well cut out holes for the Camera, Lightning port and sound port. Sturdy when placed at table angles of 35 and 60. Cons: Not really a con but the case may be a tab bit heavy. but very slight not too much. It is what is needed right a little strength in the case. The other con may be it may take some effort to remove the ipad from the case. It locks it well in there. Not too much of a struggle to remove but you have to be careful to undo it from its case but it isnt a major problem. Final summary. It kicks the Apple Case's ass for nearly a fraction of the price. Feels excellent in the hand..looks classy and keeps the ipad secure and snug. A must buy for people who aren't looking to spend too much on their ipad air 2 case.

The product is fine, simple and better than you'd expect for it's ...
The product is fine, simple and better than you'd expect for it's price. Having said that, as many others have mentioned, this is mean just as a cover, and really not for protection, as the encasing is thin and there is no real padding. It serves it's purpose well for home use and when used in combination with a neoprene bag, it's great for travel. The back provides adequate grip; it's not grippy like silicone, which I'd prefer, but it's not super slick that you'd worry about dropping it either. For those considering the "carbon fiber" design, as I had, contrary to what others have said, don't expect much from this. It's a patterned etching that from a few feet away looks like carbon fiber, appearing somewhat more stylish I guess. Up close though, it really does not look like carbon fiber -- a nice trick/illusion by the manufacturer, so I gotta give it up for that part. For those expecting it to look like carbon fiber though, expect to be disappointed. It does not have the right feel or color. I bought this cover because of the reviews, and paid $4 more for it. I'm not going to complain much though, as it's still a great price overall for for this little case. If you're deciding between paying more for this or saving money with a different color, I'd absolutely say go with the cheaper option. This design really isn't worth more than $1 above the plain colors. Overall, I'm happy with this case. Just don't expect too much from this faux carbon fiber design.

Quality Case and Super Value!
I purchased the KHOMO DUAL Super Slim case based on some positive feedback here on Amazon. I'm not disappointed. I purchased the carbon fiber case. The faux carbon fiber design is very slick looking in person and is very well done. Please see my pictures. The iPad Air 2 snapped into this case perfectly and it fits snugly. The cover closes perfectly and has a protective micro fiber type finish inside the cover. This will protect your screen. The magnet is very strong. I can turn the case over and the cover stays closed. The on/off feature works perfectly as well. The back of the case has a rubberized finish. This case will protect against scratches and minor bumps. I don't believe it will protect against a more serious drop. You can position the case in typing and landscape modes. It's stable in both positions. The case adds very little bulk, which compliments the sleek iPad Air 2 design. This case is seriously a great value. It's very well made and everything functions as intended. Why spend $80 for a case, when you can pick up this one for $15 or so shipped with Prime? KHOMO really hit it out of the park with this iPad Air 2 case. It's very well done and highly recommended!

One of the best covers i have tried so far..
So far I have purchased 7-8 different covers for my iPads, kindles and nexus 7. The covers include Logitech Folio (I did not like it at all), rubber skin, fake leather cases and etc. My expectation was not too high because this case is only $15. it turned out that this is the best tablet cover I have purchased. Apple's official leather case may be better, but it costs $79. What I like about this product is that it has a carbon fiber cover, which is light but strong enough to protect my iPad. The back is semi-rubberized plastic that is neither too hard nor soft like some of the thin rubber-sikn products. The cover also has strong magnet that won't open when I hold the iPad upside down. I can hear flapping sound when I close the cover, thanks to the strong magentic cover. It also has the automatic sleep/awake function, so I do not have to push the home button to wake my iPad. Remember, the more you press the home button, you are increasing the chance of the home button to become loose or break. I like this case so much that I bought another one for my wife who has the iPad Mini. Her genetic cover that I bought for the same amount of money as this cover has become unusable after 5 months. the cover had become loose and one of the corners broke. If you want an inexpensive, but reliable cover, this could be it!

Slim, attractive, well fitting, and reasonably priced!
This the only cover I've ever had for our ipad Air 2, and so far, so good. It isn't too bulky, and the back shell fits the iPad like a glove. The back is a slightly rubbery (but not soft) plastic that's nice and grippy to hold, magnets hold the cover nice and flat against the screen and stays put, yet not too difficult to grab and edge and open. All the cutouts line up perfectly, and the one around the Headphone is plenty big enough to accommodate our Sony MDR-V6 headphone plug. As advertised, the magnets in the cover put the iPad to sleep. The triangle folded cover holds it fairly stable in "reading/watching" mode, but it's just a tad bouncy in "typing" mode...maybe the folds need to loosen up with time so the "triangle" from the folded cover doesn't feel like it wants to open. Cosmetically, it's a nice cover. I really like the black faux "Carbon Fiber" as it matches our Space Gray iPad color scheme perfectly, and shouldn't show dirt with age. Because it's not super thick around the corners, I don't know how well it would protect the iPad from a fall on a hard surface, but there are other, bulkier cases out there for more protection. We treat our expensive ipad with care, so not worried about it, and like that the KHOMO case keeps the iPads 's svelte form, while protecting it from minor bumps and scratches on the back...best of all, the price was very reasonable :-). *Update 3-14-16* - The good news is we have dropped our KHOMO-clad iPad Air2 a couple times on hardwood floor, and you'd never know it - iPad and case look unfazed :-). Not great news is we left our iPad on a table in our breakfast room where the sun beat on it for an afternoon, and the cover panels warped slightly and got a small bubble in the surface, and does not look as great anymore. It's still doing a great job protecting our valuable iPad Air 2 without scratching it, and allows us to prop up in Typing Mode or more the upright Viewing Mode. With such a great price, we consider buying a new one (and keeping it out of the sun this time!), but the warping is more off-putting cosmetically than functionally. *Update 5-5-18* - The KHOMO iPad Air case is falling apart at the seams, literally. The hard shell back is fine, the soft inner cover, and the front faux "carbon fiber" material are all good. But the seams that seal the front cover to the inner material are completely separating around the edges. It was fun while it lasted.

Yup, it's a good one.
My wife and I have owned a variety of iPad and iPhone cases over the last 4 or five years. This one (Khomo in carbon fiber black - iPad air 2) fulfills more of my expectations than any other and I'm giving it the same 5 star score as I would give my original Apple Brand case for the iPad one. I've owned this case for about a month now. Here's why I like it. -The fit around my iPad air 2 is perfect. The iPad press fits into the case back and is held very securely around the perimeter (three sides and four corners are locked in). The folding side of the front cover (the left side) is top and bottom corner secured to the iPad . The full length of that edge is not secured unlike the other three). If you fold the cover to the back and look at the face of the iPad, the case looks attractive and well engineered around the edges where the case and iPad meet. You can't peel or push the case edge away from the iPad edge with your thumb. It's too stiff -The design and features are thoughtfully engineered. I'm guessing that an experienced team of designers thought about how to design the ipad air series of cases and did a very nice, intellectually caring job. I hate sloppy engineering and that's not evident in this case. -The synthetic materials, while not leather are nice enough so that in a crowd of extremely rich people showing off iPads in snobbishly expensive cases I wouldn't feel like a total cheapskate. I'd hold mine up proudly and bet it would be better designed but when leaving the party would be sheepishly careful not to hit their Range Rovers with my Honda. If expensive leather is your thing don't buy this case but keep in mind that it looks economically elegant as synthetic materials go and I think part of that is due to the embossed surface of this 'carbon fiber black' model. -The backside is, I assume, stiff plastic but it's coated so that it has a softer not quite plastic feel with a moderately slip resistant coefficient of friction. The touchy feely of the (don't forget it's not leather) back is actually quite nice. As you already know, iPad backsides are extremely slippery and this case fixes that concern. When hauling it around in a semi conscious daze the case feels comfortably resistant to slipping out of my hand. -Color: I chose carbon fiber black and am very happy with that choice. I think it may be the only color with an embossed front cover pattern. The embossing pattern is very subtle to the touch but seems to give a slightly holographic depth to the appearance. That may be because it's a moderately glossy embossed black but the gloss is appealing rather than offensive and I believe it contributes to the optical depth effect. -Every iPad hole or button is properly exposed and it seems that someone actually thought about or researched how to do it well. That's not true for every case I've ever owned. -The front cover folds and is somewhat flexible. It's moderately stiff I'd say. It folds like an accordion in three places. This is to allow creation of a triangle behind the iPad for elevation but that's not my point. My point relates to the strength of the magnet. If I lay the leftmost and center fold flat onto the iPad face but hold the right side fold in the air and lower it slowly to observe the point of magnetic power off. I see that the iPad power off/on occurs when the fold's outer edge is about five eighths of an inch above the iPad's outer edge. If I let go of the fold at that 5/8 inch height or less it snaps to the iPad with significant magnetic attraction. It's not shy about it. When closed there is no wobble in the position of the front cover despite the accordion folds. It always closes to exactly the same place against the iPad and stays there. Again, it's magnetic and it lets you know that but it's not excessive. You'll feel it every time you open the cover. I consider the magnetic aspects of the case design to be perfect. The reassuring magnetic snap suggest that the iPad will always power off. My experience is that magnetic iPad power off at cover closure is so far 100% reliable based on at least 500 closures to date . -The balancing act - Case weight, case break resistance and iPad protection must be a difficult balancing act in case design now that Air 2's are so lightweight. Most folks don't want a clunky case on a skinny iPad. So, in my opinion this case offers a well engineered balance between those conflicting parameters. The case feels fairly light weight on the iPad, it seems reasonably strong and seems appropriately protective for its weight and strength. On a scale of 1 to 5 I'd call it a 2 1/2. -The overall quality, cut, fit, consistency, blemish free, seems so good on my case that I suspect the manufacturer is serious about statistical process control. The follow up email I received asking for my comments and giving me a complaint contact point suggests the same. -case fold over for elevation seems to work well, it's not a feature I use often but it works. Other than that I have no comment on that. -I have one minor criticism. The case is so symmetrically and visually perfect when face side up that it's difficult to walk over and grab the iPad knowing top from bottom. I think the manufacturer should put a small but nice looking logo in the upper right hand corner as a visual reference for 'this side up'. -How durable/ long lasting is it: I'm not a gorilla nor am I wimpy. My Apple iPad 1 case, after some brutal scrubbing with a fingernail brush was near perfect when I gave it away after 4 1/2 years. Obviously this case is not super heavy duty. However, I'm guessing it will last several years of gentle abuse. That's all - good luck!

Good case, extra magnet for folding flap, works well (except for charging port coverage is too small)
Received this pretty quickly. I do like the case - I've owned other Khomo (and similar branded cases) and this seemed to be a bit sturdier than the previous one I had for my iPad Mini. I do enjoy that this one has a magnetic lock on the front edge of the front flap, which accomplishes two things: 1. It works with turning the iPad on and off (expected) 2. When the front flap is folded up to the back for supporting the iPad, it actually "locks" (magnetically) against the inner flap. It's not a very strong hold, but it stays put when transporting the iPad across surfaces. Small, but nice added benefit, that I was not expecting. Overall I am pretty happy with this case; it has a smooth finish and the front carbon fiber pattern looks good. I've had it a couple of months and there aren't any blemishes, rips, tears so far. I do take good care of it, but it works as a non-otterbox protector. The rear side is a smooth, matte hard rubber backing. For some reason, I thought this side was a bit more rigid than the older iPad Mini case I used to have, which is fine and actually stays on the iPad a bit better. The one ding I have (hence the 4 stars) is regarding the Lightning Port cut-out. It's a standard size and fits the apple cable - but not large enough for, say, and Amazon cable. In fact, as I was putting it on one evening, the top (front) part of the case that is really thin actually broke right off. It doesn't in any way take away from the usability of the case - in fact, now my Amazon lightning cable actually fits easily - but it was strange that it just snapped off so easily. It looks a little sketch, but unless you're looking for it, chances are you won't notice it from a distance. I'll upload a picture of it later.

Great case that can withstand the test of time.
Ordered the same case for an iPad Air a year ago, and it's still in pretty good shape, so I ordered another one from KHOMO for my iPad Air 2. I got the light blue colored one, which matches the white Air really well. The cover is of a rubbery texture on the outside, and covered with grey felt on the inside (the side touching the screen). The case is hard and about 2mm thick. The cover is attached to the case and the iPad without that protruding "spine" the Apple Smart Covers and Cases have, thus it is more compact than it's Apple counterparts. The iPad click in snuggly and all the openings line up with the buttons/ports/etc. perfectly. Having owned the previous iteration of this case for the Air 1, I can tell that KHOMO has learned from its flaws and improved their case design. The felt on the inside cover feels great to touch (personal opinion). When folding the cover into a triangle to use as a stand, the edge magnetically sticks to stay in a triangle shape. The opening for the 3.5mm audio port used to be too small for some larger-based plugs, and now it's just opened and I can't imagine anything not fitting. Some minor complaints/suggestions include the case and cover being of slightly different color (not really a problem), the edge of the cover is not sealed (on my one year old case, the edge looks beaten from use, but it's nothing that would destroy the cover), and it would be really nice to have some way to open the cover without picking at it with my nails (I feel like that's destroying it). Overall, can confirm this is a really nice case and can withstand the test of time.

Sturdy iPad case
This is my second one, as the first lasted 6 years, I could have still used it but then a new one is much better, hope it lasts another 6 years

Nicer than expected! Holds up after nearly 2 years
I'm very happy with this case. I've never owned or used an Apple Smart Cover/Case so I don't have much to compare it to. The plastic casing feels good with no sharp or rough edges. The front cover is pleasant feeling and the edges are cut well. Time will tell how this case will hold up over time. Right now the magnets for the lock/unlock feature and along the spine feel strong. To position the cover as a stand the edges of the front flap need to be touching for the magnets to lock it in position. Otherwise the iPad will slip and fall backwards. Same for the typing mode which I am using right now. Once the magnets on this case start to weaken, it's probably time for a new one. I got this case in the Gold colour and I'm very happy with how it looks. The back plastic is nearly identical to the actual gold iPad colour. The front flap has a brushed metal appearance which looks nice and understated. It's shiny without being TOO shiny. The inside material is soft and on my case is a light gray. I wanted a neutral colour that would look nice with my gold iPad and this colour was definitely the way to go. The price is also very fair! UPDATE: After nearly 2 years of owning this case and using it daily, I can safely say that this is an excellent case. It has withstood drops and not broken. Other than some cosmetic issues (scratches on back, discoloured front) it has held up very well. I was worried the magnet in the front cover would weaken over time, but this has not happened. It's not as pretty as it once was, but it's much better than the other case I bought (and have since returned) to replace this one. I will be re-purchasing this case and retiring my old one.

Excellent
This is such a good quality case. Iโve had other similar products previously that lasted a very short time compared to this one and was so pleased to have found it again on Amazon. Would highly recommend.

Great case
Awesome product. My iPad Air 2 fit perfectly. The case works as it should to turn the iPad on and off. I like that it is rubbery (good grip) and that the back part that the iPad sits in is a hard case. I got the dark purple and it seems to be pretty true to colour, although under some lighting it seems to appear a Lilac colour instead of the dark purple. Great product, especially for the price. Well constructed. Update: I purchased my first iPad case in 2016 and just replaced it with a 2nd in 2018. The case held up amazingly against my toddler and was easy to clean. I replaced it with the same case (only this time red) because after many, many drops the top corner cracked as well as the area where the charge port is. I am happy to say my iPad is still in amazing condition and this case has protected it well against many drops and dings.
