Pilgrim Home and Hearth 19255 Classic Arch Single Panel Fireplace Screen

The instructions told me to insert the bolts in the legs but the legs had built in bolts--I need nuts!Otherwise it is a basic black screen which is what I was looking for. There is some paint chipped off in places like others said but it's on the back. I actually think my product might have been one that was returned and resent out as it did not appear to be packaged properly.

We are very pleased with this fireplace screen. It arrived as described, even though the package was significantly damaged through shipping, the product was unblemished! Good job on the internal packing. Also, due to the box being damaged, the "legs" were gone. The company (Pilgrim Hearth) immediately and pleasantly responded and shipped the legs to me. Great customer service.

We had to buy this to keep our retard dog from wanting to jump into the fire place and commit suicide. It worked like a charm. It is a very simple and beautiful design. The only reason I did not give it five stars is becuase the screen has some blemishes which was not worth the hassle of returing it. It is hard to see the blemishes. You have to look for them.

They are black simple clean screens. Great for old fireplaces that are simple. My home was built in 1790 so big ornate screens look ridiculous. These are perfect. I painted mine with a hammered burnished bronze finish and they look amazing. My only change would be the handles but that can be done easily with some nice drawer pulls.

All my local stores like Lowes and Home Depot consider these to be seasonal items and they did not have them in stock. I purchased a new home in May and like another reviewer, my dog wouldn't stay out of my fireplace. I needed a screen NOW. I was shocked at the one local garden store, the cheapest screen was starting at $699. A friend paid $350 at another store. This one is pretty basic but that's what I was looking for. I'm very glad I ordered this. It was simple to assemble.
