Creative D80 Bluetooth Wireless Speaker (Green)

The Creative D80 is a low end speaker with high end style. We use it for the bedroom Echo Dot. The only problem is that we like to use the sleep time to have the Dot play us music until we fall asleep. That part is fine. The rub is that there is an LED light that flashes every two seconds for as long as the speaker is connected to a Bluetooth source (like the Dot). The flashing light is not conducive to sleep.

Easy to pair and operate. Good volume (used it in a 20 x 10 foot living room with decent results) but the sound is "thin", especially compared to my Philips iPhone speaker (retail: about $90). Poor sound quality and somewhat difficult operation (for my elderly parents, anyway) caused me to return this item.

It's a good product but I don't recommend it for a large space. I use it in a decent sized bathroom but any larger space the sound would get lost. I listen to a lot of rock and country music and the bass is too intense for a really good sound.

My biggest problem with this unit was it required a power cord. There was none pictured, in ANY of the pictures and it never mentioned one in the description. I was going to set it in a high corner of my dining area (expecting it to be completely wireless); I still attempted to put it on the shelf, but the cord just isn't very long (about 2 feet). Connecting it to any bluetooth device is hassle-free and the sound is good too. Definitely worth the price!I was disappointed that I could not order the blue or pink, there was a 1-3 month wait, so I went with the green one instead, still an attractive color.

Sound quality is average you gonna need additional software on your devices to get some descent sounds. Works well with AirPlay but again you will need some additional software like an equalizer app to get something good out of it. The size is compact and I don't even know why is that because it is not portable at all: No rechargeable batteries, No travelling AC adapter or input. It is limited to 110 and you can only use this in the US. I don't think I will fall for something like that again in the future. The price asked for such a limited device is not worth it! Had an iHome dock way smaller than this and it was delivering real good and I purchased it for only 15 bucks in the past

Disappointed as thought it was battery operated, not 110v powered; sound volume not satisfactory for out-of-door use. Couldn'tget iPhone5 to connect with bluetooth, so had to use headphone type cord.

This is one of the best electronics values I've purchased in a long time. This is the second Creative D80 that I've purchased, so now I'm very happy with 2 of them. Extremely easy to operate and connect to devices with. The sound is pretty incredible for a device this size. Great for both low and high ranges, talk radio or music. Very respectable volume and doesn't get distorted. I think I paid about $60 for the first one I bought a year or two ago, and this one at $20 was an unbelievable value. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a (non-portable) bluetooth speaker.
