I purchased three of these weatherproof electrical outlet covers and found them very easy to install on my three patios. Just be sure to turn off the power before starting. The new covers are made of a harder, more durable plastic compared to the ones I replaced, which had lasted 21 years. I highly recommend them. The first two photos show my new covers installed and the last two photos show the old covers—held together with a bread tie. A vast difference.

Weird place to put it, but I put it in a kitchen cabinet where there's an outlet that our above range microwave plugs in. We had a pan get between the plug and outlet and it shot welding sparks through the kitchen. This keeps the outlet fully secure from the metal pans in the cabinet.

This enclosure is probably one of the nicest ones I have run across There is enough room inside the box to have a large plug inside. They leave the knockouts intact so you can choose what orientation you need it to be to custom fit your installation. I buy these enclosures for $7.95 however, I am afraid I can no longer afford to use these as they are now a Wopping $15.29 after the tarrifs were enacted. WOW. Please remove these tarrifs so Amazon can lower their. So if you can afford these enclosures, you will not be unhappy with the quality. Very easy to install. I can no longer purchase these from the USA and import them to Canada as not only is Amazon’s price higher, but Canada also tacks on a 25% retaliatory tarrif and all products coming from the USA to discourage Canadians from buying American. It is working let me tell you. Most customers can afford to pay the up charge on many items. There is not only the factor of the price, but Canadians are boycotting American products. Canadians speak highly of Americans so its not the People, it is the policy.

Got this from another suggestion for mounting a SURPA/KIDDE combination key safe inside of it. At a distance it just looks like an electrical outlet cover :)
