Youngmans 30113318 Aluminium Telescopic Extension Ladder (3.21m), Multicoloured

Lightweight and easy to carry. Solid and planted with me on the ladder and this is confidence inspiring compared to some ladders that twist and flex.This was a replacement for a similar ladder and the best part is that I can no longer trap my fingers when it telescopes back into itself.Many of my customers have been impressed with how compact and lightweight the ladder is.However, the first ladder I was sent failed to lock on one side after a couple of months. There is no repair available so I contacted the seller and within a week a replacement was sent out. These things happen and the new ladder appears in order.

The description and pictures do not show that this ladder comes with a very large 800mm wide stabilising bar at the base. You cannot use it without the bar fitted. The bar makes the base much wider than the ladder and makes it very difficult to stow in a car or even in a cupboard. It even makes it awkward to carry. I would have returned it as ‘not as described’ but I needed it urgently. The quality of the ladder is very good but I had to pay someone to modify the base to make it useable. I am very disappointed.
