Tub Transfer Bench with Swivel Seat for Elderly and Disabled, Extra Long

As I’m recovering from a broken ankle, this has provided me a very safe and sturdy solution getting in and out of my large walk in shower. The length allows me to sit down outside of the shower and slide safely into the center. Swivel chair is key to this solution and easy to position the chair as needed. Easy setup and perfect solution for a safe way to maneuver in and out of the shower.

My wife is bedridden. I have to use a lift to get her out of bed on onto the seat. Once she is on the lift and belted in, I rotate the seat 90 degrees so she will be facing the wall of the shower with the shower head. Then I release the seat and slide her across to the other side where she is under the shower head. Why five stars when it is "almost" perfect? The way it would be perfect for us is if it were 54 or even 60 inches. In order to put her on the seat, the side outside the shower must be further out that an able bodied person would need. Thus she is sort of off to the side of the shower head. Assembly was easy. Good materials, Packaged well. Would definitely buy again if needed. I have and continue to tell others this is a GREAT product.

This actually really really helps. I have a severe brain on my right ankle. I'm not using it on a bathtub. I'm using it to get in through the door of a glass shower. Makes it safe for me to get over the lip of the door and I can move around in the shower easily on the seat.

My mother fell and broke her hip, and I needed a shower bench that would not only help transfer her from her walker into the bathtub but one that would be long enough to go over a step-up outside the tub. This transfer bench was all that I was hoping for and more! It fits over the step-up with plenty of room for me to maneuver her up to the chair, it glides easily into the tub and is very stable. I added a small plastic step stool in the tub for her to rest her feet. She loves it and feels very secure during the transfer process. I would highly recommend this transfer bench to anyone that needs the extra length and peace of mind that you are purchasing a quality item.

Zero instructions included. It wasn’t that hard to put together but instructions would be nice. Also. I measured 47 inches long. Had I known it was shorter than it stated I would not have paid almost $400 for this. I would definitely consider a cheaper one. This one doesn’t latch good when you slide it over. If it wasn’t so big and already together I would send it back.

The swivel chair works fine. However, the bench legs are not tall enough to clear the edge of the tub. Worst of all, the chair has no stops to lock in position after sliding to either ends of the bench. While my mother got up to reach for the shower, the chair moved away by itself and she almost fell inside the tub. Luckily she fell onto the bench frame instead. I hope I can get a refund.

This is perfect for a caregiver. Very easy to rotate the seat, and also very easy to unlock and slide seat. The height adjustment for the legs is simple. I originally did not purchase the arms, but found it was easier and safer for my patient to enter and exit the seat, and makes the seat more comfortable. I think the arms should be included and the purchaser can decide whether or not to use them. I have a seven inch threshold into the shower, and the top of the threshold is 4 inches above the floor of the shower and 6 inches above the bathroom floor, so the adjustable legs are perfect. I only wish there was a longer bench option.

Love the fact that now I can get my son in the shower easier. The only thing is I wish the legs had more holes so that I could make it shorter, so that my son's feet would touch the floor of the shower. He is much more stable when his feet are flat on the floor.
