WoodWick Ellipse Scented Candle | Vanilla Bean | with Crackling Wick | Burn Time: Up to 50 Hours

I absolutely love the Woodwick Ellipse candle which I purchased in the vanilla scent. Everyone has admired the scent and you can actually smell it when 1st coming into the house. It has a lovely smell but is not overpowering. Some candles these days have very little smell but not the Woodwick. The added feature is the wick which goes along the oval shaped candle and jar. It actually makes a crackle sound like a wood fire makes. It is so relaxing. The oval shaped jar is lovely and unusual with a really nice lid. Overall, this is an amazing candle with the scent, the shape and the crackling sound. I am definitely going to order more and they would be perfect as a gift. Several different scents available. 10 stars!

When I first lit this it terrified me! I'd nip to the other room and just hear crackling like something was on fire interspersed with the occasional wheezy squeal or pop and come racing back through. Now I'm used to it and I find it rather comforting when it's on the coffee table and I'm sat on the sofa with a book and a midweek cocktail. When lit the smell isn't overpowering but it's a warm vanilla scent that fills the room, particularly nice on a dark evening with low lamps lit for atmosphere. It does smell stronger if you nip out of the room and back in. When it's not lit I can only smell it if I walk close by it on the shelf it lives on when it's not on duty. It has melted down evenly but I have taken care of the wick, making sure it is even along its length before lighting and I let the top layer melt before blowing out although that is more by length of use than intentional action. I'd certainly buy another, it creates atmosphere of an evening and looks good too whether lit or not. If I got this as a gift I'd be very chuffed.

We have built up a collection of these and vanilla bean is right up there. The candles come really well packaged and in purchasing about a dozen all have arrived secure, not saying they dont break of course, but confident its a rare thing. The glass bowl its really attractive and the glass is thick with the lid being nice and thick which also doubles up as a base to go under the Jar. I do recommend you do this as the glass does become hot and so will the bottom once the wick burns down. In terms of burning it makes an great crackling sound which sounds really relaxing and the strip burning across rather then a single wick does look cool. In terms of fragrance, vanilla bean smells really nice. A clean smell and thanks to a lot of wax and burning at once throws at a decent amount of fragrance. Can fill up a large room relatively easy. May become attuned to the smell after a few hours, but walk out and back in the room and it hits you! The fact it burns a large amount at once does result in the tradeoff of it short burn time however vs say jars with a single wick.

Have bought Yankee candles for years now, always the large standard jars really. Thought I’d treat myself to this rather different item. So glad I did, it smells amazing and the soft sizzle you hear from the wick is very soothing. Would highly recommend and I will hope to buy more of these in the future.

Bought as a gift for my niece who loved it! The smell was great and strong so could smell throughout the house. Great quality and whilst a little more expensive than some alternatives definitely worth it!

Smells lovely, also the shape and sounds are nice but the smell is so incredible. Also the smell lasts quite long, only had the candle lit for around 20 mins but the smells been in for 1.5 days
