Great Curtain, looks good and educational
When I was looking at this shower curtain there were two things in the reviews that concerned me:1. The smell2. MisspellingsI decided to buy it anyway. Here's what I think about the two issues:1. The smell - it does smell when you first open it. It is made of plastic after all. The bathroom I put it in is very small with only an exhaust fan for ventilation. I hung the curtain, ran the fan for an hour or so and then didn't really notice the smell anymore. For me, the smell should not be a deterrent to purchasing this curtain at all. In fact, I have purchased several clear liners over the years that smelled much worse and for far longer.2. Misspellings - I have not read every word on this shower curtain but so far, I haven't noticed any of the misspellings.I really like this shower curtain. It's fun and educational. We have actually referred to it a few times when geography questions have come up. A few times I have sent one of my kids in to look at it to answer their own question. The font is not my favorite but it's fine. The colors are nice, bold but not obnoxious. The background is clear. The material is plastic, like a thick liner.Overall, a great purchase - especially for the money. I will buy this again.

favorite shower curtain ever
My sister had a shower curtain just like this when she was in college and I was obsessed. I went to college and bought the exact same one so that I could study up on the map and quiz my roommates. Years down the road I'm married and bought this shower curtain after being sick of my fabric ones that get nasty so quickly. My husband and I love to quiz each other on different countries and their capitals. I apparently talk about it enough where my nephew wanted one so that was a part of his birthday gift and he loves it!It is so easy to clean, and is nice and thick. My only complaint is that when I took it out of the package, it was so tightly pressed and folded to fit in it's container that a part of it was stuck together and created a tiny hole in it when pulled apart. I hope it was just a fluke, because I would honestly be so happy just rebuying this same one every few years if it's not a reoccurring problem.

Beautiful shower curtain, well made, NO ODOR
I love this shower curtain. I've always loved clear shower curtains that have big designs on them. We've had panda bears, giraffes, monkeys, when our children were young. But then we graduated to the The World. This is a fun shower curtain that goes with any decor. We've had several over the years that I've always purchased at Target. This time I thought I'd get this one because it was a good price and this newer version has the blue ocean of Antartica at the bottom which really livens it up. This one has a clear background and I really recommend that. I paired it with the Mildew Free PEVA 3 Gauge Shower Liner in Clear and added the Roller Shower Curtain Hooks and Rings in aqua and together they are a combination that can't be beat.It is well made, a good weight, but not too heavy. One thing to note, there is no odor. NONE. I read other reviews that talk about smell, but there is none with this one or the shower liner I bought with it. I especially recommend this and the Roller Shower curtain hooks. They look lovely together. I'm very happy with all three and highly recommend them.

An interesting shower curtain with a few nitpicks
This product gets 4 stars for being a functional, non-boring shower curtain. It does a great job of repelling water and keeping my bathroom floor dry.The lack of a 5th star comes from the following complaints:1. This map uses a Mercator projection, which greatly distorts the apparent area of land near the poles. Using this projection, Greenland appears to be approximately the same size as South America; in reality, South America is over 8 times larger. This really isn't a valid concern and shouldn't bother me at all (Google Maps uses the same projection), but for some reason, it does.2. The font used on the curtain is baffling - lower and uppercase letters are indistinguishable, and the letter "n" appears as a backwards "h". This is especially confusing when trying to read city and country titles from inside the shower, where obviously all letters appear backwards, and "Iran" reads as "hARI". What the heck is hARI? Also, do they have oil?3. There is only one city (Washington, DC) listed in the entire continental US. For comparison, the province of Alberta, Canada contains 6 cities on this map. I have nothing against Canadians, but is Fort Chipewyan (population 850 and on this map) really more noteworthy than New York City?4. Overseas territories of countries have different colors than the country they belong to. Greenland (while appropriately colored green) is a different color than Denmark. Also, there are many examples of adjacent countries and states with the same color. Notably, British Columbia (sorry, I'm picking on Canada today) and Idaho are both colored the same shade of blue. While I do enjoy practicing geography whilst partaking in my morning shower, I think anyone considering purchasing this product should be aware of the above grievances.

Totally great as a shower curtain and a teaching tool!
I have had this shower curtain hanging in my children's bathroom for 4 years now! I have it on the inside of the shower as the curtain liner so the children can look at it while using the shower. I can't tell you how many times we have had a conversation about some place we hear about on the news, and the kids don't know where that country is located, so we all head to the bathroom to look it up on the shower curtain! It has been a really fun way to incorporate a little Geography into our lives. It has held up super well. No tears or rips in the curtain anywhere. Outside of taking it down occasionally to lay it out and get it really clean, it hasn't needed any attention or maintenance at all. Very well made product, fun for the family, and educational all at the same time! I would definitely recommend this shower curtain to anyone with a love of Geography or children that are beginning to become aware of the world around them!

Even better than the pic on Amazon!
I love this shower curtain! I love the textured detail. The quality is great! It’s light weight but not see through. It covers the whole length of my full size shower/tub. It’s a great curtain. I did use my own hooks as the ones that come with it are just a cheap plastic. It’s a fun addition to add a little valentine love to my bathroom .

This shower curtain will change your life.
There is nothing to dislike about this shower curtain. It will change your life for the better. After you have installed this life-changing curtain in your shower, go and buy a lottery ticket. You will win. As you pass away the blissful hours in the shower, surrounded on one or more sides by the colorful, vibrant and enchanting map graphics, with warm or hot or cold or room-temperature water--or all of them during the same shower, your cares will drift away down the drain, or onto the floor if the drain is plugged, and you'll dream of the exotic places depicted on the curtain. Or the war zones--it just depends on whether you watched or listened to the news before you started to shower, I suppose. WARNING: If you want to know what the places are on the map that are labeled, you will have to either put the front of the map toward you in the shower, or learn to read backwards. This is not a problem, or the fault of the manufacturer, or of Amazon. Think of it as a way to improve yourself, as I do, by trying to make out the backward spelling of places like Vanuatu, which when you think about it, probably sounds equally exotic whether you read it forward or backwards (Utaunav). Enjoy your new curtain and do as I do: When the graphics start to wear off a bit, or when the soap scum builds up a bit much, buy a new one and start your dream all over again. One other thing. I like the curtain because it lets a lot of light in from the bathroom and you can see through a good portion of it in case someone with a knife comes in while you are showering and dreaming of how great your life is now since you got the new shower curtain with the map of the world on it.

Wonderful, educational shower curtain. Great to examine in detail when sitting on the toilet.
