Logitech G 981-000541 G230 Stereo Gaming Headset with Mic

If you're deciding between these and the Logitech G430's, go with these. The only difference is the USB adapter the G430 provides which adds VIRTUAL surround sound, not true surround sound like higher end models. In terms of quality and sound, they do not differ, it's a matter of color in the end.I upgraded from a cheap Logitech headset that was not only uncomfortable, but had very poor mic quality, especially for gaming (I have a Mumble chat server with friends). I wanted to look for a great gaming headset without spending too much and I came across these. At first, I was a bit worried because some people disliked these but I decided I would risk it anyways. It was a perfect risk.In terms of sound, these have far better sound than any headphones I've ever owned. In terms of sound, they exceed the quality that my Sennheiser HD 202 and Sennheiser HD 419's provide, which I found as surprising since they are both great pairs of headphones. I want to continue to use these headphones just for listening to music and mixing music in general because there is a perfect balance of bass, mids and highs. However, I'll look a bit like a tool using headset to listen to music somewhere in public :P Now of course, I'm sure a more expensive headset will sound much better in terms of clarity, but I am VERY impressed with the sound on these, especially at this price point.The mic quality is also VERY good. I got on Mumble the other day with these for the first time and after configuration the settings within the client, I joined the channel and immediately, everyone knew I got the new headset and was relieved how well it sounded and how little feedback there was compared to my last headset.The comfort on these are also great. After about two hours however, my ears started to hurt. I feel that this was the case because I was wearing glasses. When I switched to wearing contacts the next day, I did not have any problems with ear fatigue, even after 3 hours. This is an amazing headset at a very competitive price point. I highly recommend these to anyone! If more colors were offered, I would buy another pair!

Let me tell you guys right now that I do video games Let Plays as hobby and need a pretty good mic in order to do commentary. Also I was looking at reviews on this headset before getting it in hope of making sure that I get the right headset for me. That being said let me start with the design and look of the headsetDesign/Look: The headset is as you can see red and black with the Logitech logo on the side. The color of the headset is black and red which matches by computer a bit seeing as how I have a keyboard that is blacks and red. When I put it on it feel comfortable as I can adjust the headset to match the size of my head.The earpieces can be rotate up to 90 degrees with is a nice addiction if you need to do something that involve you putting the headset down without the risk breaking it. The earpieces look slim and fit into my ears pretty good. You can take apart the cloths ear cups and wash them which are a nice added touch. The headset has analog 3.5 mm jacks which I don't mind one bit. The wired is pretty long but be warned you should not have any unwanted wires around you otherwise you might trip and break it.Overall, it a really good looking headset added with the slim look of the earpieces make you want to buy them just by looking at them.Sound: To let you know now, the headset does now come with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound. Instead it has Stereo (2.0) for sound. I play video games and while I was playing TF2 I heard everything around me. But to be honest I had headset that had Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound and not to say the headset's sound are bad, if you want to this these headset to listen to music, just understand it DOES NOT has Dolby 7.1 surround sound.Overall, I don't mind the sound of the headset as seeing as although it's not Dolby 7.1 surround sound it still feels like I can hear every sound in that headset whether listening to music or playing video games.Mic Quality: In my opinion, I saved this the best for last for a good reason. I already told you that I do let plays for a hobby and although I don't need a mic to do let play's I want to do it to help make my video interesting and to make myself unique from the others on a website I go to and upload.Now enough about me, the mic quality is pretty good. I had no problems when hearing by voice at the mic was near my mouth but I do something need to put it closer to me. Fortunately, there a part of the mic where you can move closer or farer from you if you have do.I haven't use the mic much in online video games but I pretty sure the people can hear me when I choose to speak. As for the noise cancelling mic it cancels any noise when you fold the mic. I had people talk in the back and the mic did pick up a bit from the background but the noise was low. I use the folding part of the mic when I don't need and I like using the folding.The headset has on-cable sound controls which is a nice added touch. The controls can adjust the volume and mute the mic which will be useful in the future.Overall: Pretty good mic and it just what I need to do my let playsOverall on the headset: The headset cost around 60.00$ on the Logitech website but I got it here on amazon for around 50.00$. This is not the best headset made by Logitech but it pretty good. I give it a four out of five due to the sound in the headset only being stereo 2.0Sorry for the long review and thanks for reading.

The microphone doesn't work.

Good Gaming Headset..!!I've had some confusions whether to get Logitech G230 or G430 with 7.1 surround..the later i found out that, G430 has a removable USB Sound card which makes it 7.1 when connected.. 7.1 is not bulit into the headset itself.with without the removable soundcard G430 will be same as G230.. why pay 2 grand more for that sound card ?!I'm using my G230 with Razer Personalized Surround, its quite good actually..!I use G230 for about 3 weeks now..Pros+Audio Performance is quite Good..+Light Weight design+Good noise isolation+Awesome comfort, breathable like material(with removable & washable ear cups)+good padding(has great Bass for music. I didn't expect this much good audio performance for music from a gaming headset)+Apt for Gaming conditions *+Microphone, good quality audio recording(nice noise cancelling)Cons- *my ears began to heat-up after 3hrs or so of continuous gaming(but still no problem with the Headset)...- i wish the earpieces swivel up to 180 degrees (has only 90 degree) couldn't find more cons... i will notify (if any)..!i would recommend this headset for any gamer..!! I Give 5 stars

Só depois que comprei vi que a descrição diz que é USB, mas veio stereo, para mim não é um problema, mas se quiser um especificamente USB provável que não vira USB.
