USB cable requires difficult to find Mac driver
To use on Mac OS I had to find the appropriate driver to use chirp. It was a bit difficult to find, but works fine with it. Driver can be downloaded from http://www.federicocappelli.net/filehost/baofeng/Drivers-PL2303_Serial-USB_on_OSX_Lion-Mavericks.pkg

It is what it is. I have no issues with the cable itself. My computer and other things don't like to cooperate with some items.
