I have a friend cut my hair, however I like the back of my head, above the nape of my neck shaved like at the barber shop. So I purchased this barber's razor and it works great. Replacement blades are very inexpensive. This barber's razor will last a long time, it seems well made and works well.

I have been wanting to purchase a straight razor for quite some time now, and finally pulled the trigger. It is definitely going to take some more practice to master this new form of shaving, but it is extremely sharp and sturdy. Very well-made and would highly recommend. However, don’t forget to order additional razor blades because it only comes with five of them. I ordered a box of Shark razors that I am extremely happy with as well. You won’t be disappointed for the price. I hope to maintain it for the rest of my days…

It’s great for what it does! Holds its shine too. The blades I’d throw away…I use Gillette but tried the blades once when I was traveling and had to use my styptic pencil a bunch…

The razor is ok but the wood scales are not. They're not made from regular hard wood, they're very light, brittle, and have a lot of little open cracks in them out of the box. The weight makes the razor seem very unbalanced. I broke mine because the rivet was so tight it made the razor hard to open/close and impossible to manipulate with one hand. With just the slightest bit of sideways pressure to try to loosen up the rivet the scales snapped into pieces. I didn't rate lower than 3 because the razor was decent, cheap, and the scales breaking was partially my fault, but I definitely wouldnt buy the Parker wood scales.
