Alcott Bamboo Groom Slicker Brush with Stainless Steel Pins for Pets, Large, Brown

This brush has done a great job on my Sheltie's coat. The old brush, which this replaced, was not nearly the quality and bothered my pup. This brush she is very tolerant of so grooming goes quickly. This brush is easy to hold, and use. I am happy and my pup is very happy that I threw the old brush in the trash!

I work as a dog groomer, and I needed a small slicker brush, so I got this one. I was surprised on how good it is! The quality is great, and it untangles the coat very easily. I will be buying a bigger one soon!

This works great on my chow chow. I had another brush that had very sharp bristles and was not working on my dogs skin. This one is perfect, brushes out the fur great but doesn't feel like it's creating cuts on his skin.

I use these to do hand carding angora rabit fur for spinning and they do fairly well for it being a hand carding hack to save money on carders. The handles are nice to hold onto and they are light making it easy to card. Some of the areas of the brush was bent when I received them but it's an easy fix.

Just what we needed to make her fluffy

This brush works great for my small dogs bushy hair. There is a technique I saw on a video on you tube, to pull back the hair so the underlying coat is showing then brush it out so a little falls at a time as you move up on the pulled back section of hair. Repeat each section.

Can't use. For a yorkie with delicate skin and needles are too sharp.

This brush is used on 2-4 dogs almost daily. I'm a professional groomer and I highly recommend this slicker brush. Been using it for over 3 mos and works great. Hasn't lost any pins

Was super excited to get this as I really wanted a small slicker brush that could handle the small sensitive areas without breaking the bank. Pins are a little scratchy for my liking and it doesn’t take out mats as well as i had hoped. Use this occasionally but find it’s definitely not the brush I reach for. Edit: gave this brush a second try after almost 2.5 years later. It actually does works well for sensitive areas after all. Where the coral Chris Christensen brush tugs, this one appears to be doing very little but actually is breaking up the mats which allows the CC to pull the knotted bits out more gently. Takes longer to work through the mats but it’s a lot less painful to doggy. Pins still feel scratchy but as long as it’s not gliding along the skin, it doesn’t scratch. Glad I didn’t get rid of it. Will be reaching for this brush more now that I know how best to use it.
